Chapter 2

Rikka walked in the teacher's lounge and spotted Stacy in her cubicle busy, preparing for her class. She walked over and extended her hands to her. "Good morning Stacy. I am Rikka, nice to meet you." She greeted.

Stacey looked up and then smacked her hands away, shocking her. She stood up and stared her down. "Seeing your face everyday disgust me." Then she picked up her stuff and walked past her.

Rikka stood there, confusion evident on her face. Why was Stacy mad at her? She never even talked to her before. Did she unknowingly did something that caused her outburst.

"Morning Rikka," Natasha greeted happily, as she walked into the room. "It's another beautiful day to teach those adorable kiddos."

"Morning Natasha," Rikka greeted as she made her way towards her cubicle.

Natasha stared at Rikka. "Are you okay? Did something happen to you?"

Rikka eyes widened. As ditzy as Natasha she was surprisingly sharp. Rikka put on her signature smile and said. "No, nothing of the sort."

"Okay then."

-

"Morning everyone," Rikka greeted. Everyone greeted back in unison and then gave her their undivided attention, excited for today's lesson.

She walked over to her desk and took out a ziplock bag with different kinds of seeds. Everyone stared at the bag with great interest. She opened her mouth and explained, after walking back to the middle of the room. "Today, we are going to go outside and plant this seed in a flowering pot and guess what?"

"What!?" They all asked, at the same time.

"You guys get to take it home and take care of it and then one day, it will bloom into a beautiful flower," she added.

"YAY!!!"

"Who would like to hand out the seeds?" She asked.

"Me! I will!" Sienna shouted before anyone could volunteer. She got out of her seat and walked up to Rikka.

"Thank you Sienna," replied Rikka. She gave her the bag and then walked back to her desk.

Rikka went around the classroom and everyone picked a seed. She took the last one that was left and then gave the bag back to Rikka.

"Alright class, follow me," Rikka said. They followed her out the classroom and into the schoolyard by the big tree on the right, where ten empty little flowering pots were.

"Grab a pot everyone and then come and form a circle beside me."

Everyone grabbed a pot and then sat down beside her forming a circle. She smiled at her class. "Who can tell me the first thing we need to put in our flowering pot?"

A girl with blond hair and red eyes raised her hand and said. "We need dirt, lots and lots of dirt."

"That's correct Anna." Rikka stood up and grabbed a huge bag of soil from behind the tree and place it in the middle of the circle. She gave everyone disposable gloves and a mini gardening shovel. "Fill up your pot with soil everyone."

Twenty minutes later...

"Finish Miss. Brooks," everyone said.

Rikka walked around outside the circle, looking into everyone's pot. She nodded her head and then said. "Make a small hole in the middle of your soil and put your seed in and the cover it up with soils again."

"OKAY!!!!"

Rikka sat back down in her spot and said. "Good job guys, I am so proud of you all." They laughed and giggled amongst themselves. "Who can tell me what our seed needs to grow up big and strong?"

Julian, a boy with black hair and blue eyes raised his hand and said proudly. "Water and sunlight."

"That's correct," replied Rikka, clapping her hands. "Now let's hand back inside, put our pots away and clean up."

"Okay!" The said and then ran towards their classroom excitedly.

Rikka felt a tugged on her skirt and looked down to see Sienna beside her. She knelt down to her level, facing her and asked. "What's wrong Sienna?"

"What kind of seed am I planting?" She asked.

Rikka winked at her. "My favorite kind of fruit," she answered, standing up.

Sienna cheeks reddened. "Really? I can't wait to see what kind of fruit is your favorite Miss. Brooks. Mine is strawberries." She said as they walked back to the classroom, hand in hand.

Rikka chuckled softly.

-

Rikka walked into Le Ristorante and sat down at one of the booths by the window. She ordered a glass of water, as she waited for Daisy to show, she opened her phone and checked out her Facebook feed.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting," Daisy said as she sat down opposite Rikka, twenty minutes later. "London, wouldn't stop crying when I was leaving."

"It's okay," replied Rikka. She put away her phone and then looked at her friend with a bright smile. "You should have brought him. Last time I saw him he was only two months old."

Daisy winked and then stated. "You will meet him one day soon. Today, we need no distractions."

"I just want to enjoy our supper," Rikka said immediately. She really didn't want to hear about them and their perfect life together. "We can gossip another day."

"We are going to eat and gossip."

Rikka groaned. She can never win against Daisy, especially when she has her mind set on something. It is nearly impossible to move onto the next topic.

After they ordered and received their food, Daisy opened her mouth and said. "A month after you left, Xavier dumped Ashley."

Rikka choked on her food. She grabbed her glass of water and chugged it all down. She placed the glass back on the table and wiped her mouth with the napkin beside her food.

"Apparently, she lied to him and he found out," Daisy continued, in between eating her steak. "She was so ashamed that she moved to the states that very day."

Rikka chewed her food as she listened to Daisy with a nonchalant expression. So they broke up. So what. It has nothing to do with her. She moved on.

"Ever since then he has been looking for you," she said and then added. "Wait till he finds out you are back."

Rikka eyes widened in shock. Her heart beat nervously against her ribcage at the thought of running into him. "He must never know that I am back, got it," she warned with a dark aura.

Daisy gulped. "I promise I won't. But you can't hide forever. He has been looking for you for four years now and still searching."

"Life without him has been very fulfilling and I would like to keep it that way," she confessed as she continued eating.

-

Sienna hurried down the 30th-floor hallway of XR corporation towards the only room on the floor with her flower pot in her tiny hand. Without knocking, she opened the door and walked in.

"Look what I did in school today daddy," she said walking over to him.

Xavier picked her up and sat her down on his lap. He took the pot from her and place it on his desk. "What kind of seed did you plant?" He asked.

Sienna shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know but my teacher said it's her favorite fruit. I am going to give her the first fruit that blossom."

"You really like your teacher, don't know."

Sienna nodded happily. Out of all the people that piqued her interest, Rikka's was special and she didn't know why. "Yes, I do." Then her face turned serious. She faced her hand and cupped his cheeks with her tiny hands. "Remember your promise daddy."

"I won't do anything," Xavier reassured her.

As soon as he finished talking, there was a knock on the door. He looked in the direction and urged. "Come in."

A man wearing a black suit and sky blue undershirt with a navy blue tie walked in with a bunch of papers in his hands. When he sat Sienna happily sitting on his boss's lap. He immediately bowed and apologized. "Sorry sir, I can come back later. I didn't know you were with young Miss."

"It's okay, hand the papers over," he commanded. Then he looked down at his daughter and said. "Wait for me in my room."

"Okay daddy," she said chirpily. She slid off his lap and she skipped across the room to the door on the other side. She opened the door and walked in, closing the door behind her.

Xavier took the paper from the man that was standing before his desk and scanned through each page thoroughly. He narrowed his purple eyes as his demeanor became dark. He threw the papers in his trash bin in annoyance and then ordered rudely. "I want her latest whereabouts. I don't care what she has been doing in the past. Am I clear!?"

"Y-yes, sir!" The man replied and then hurried out the room in fear.

Xavier leaned back in his chair and stared up at the ceiling. For four years he has been diligently looking for her and only recently did he found out that she was studying in England. But where was she now?
