Plea of the Heart

With nothing interesting in the world, why even bother staying alive? But I have to. I'm scared to die, yet at the same time, not. I will stay until you want me to and leave if you do not care anymore. Sometimes, I just wish I could escape. "Why have you done this? For what reason?" The man's voice went up despite the blood choking him. His eyes were bloodshot as he glared at the woman infront of him. Covered with a cloak, the woman's expression couldn't be seen. She remained silent, unwilling to answer his questions. The man sighed and smiled mockingly. "Then would you answer my very last question?" Seeing that she is still silent, he proceeded. "Are you happy?" His eyes were directed at her, not leaving nor blinking. He was determined to know what her feeling. Three seconds later, a loud laugh rang throughout the room. The man's head shot up, looking dumbfoundedly at the woman. Then, a knife came flashing towards him. (Cover's not mine, pls comment if you want it taken down)
