5 Another Coffee Wasted

The announcement of the termination of mergers between the two companies, following the termination of my engagement with Jun Wei An didn't shock the public. In the social media, Jun Wei An is called a scum for cheating on me. Lot's of the netizens side on me, saying things like 'why cheat on a goddess with a garbage.' I smirked while reading these types of comments as think they're not wrong.

The Jun family cannot immediately give us the agreed compensation, so another contract is formed. It is about them giving us a small amount per month, but because of that, they'll be paying a larger amount. I think that's what others call 'installment' way of paying.

After the press conference, I went to the coffee shop again. I ordered a coffee, and sat by the corner while waiting for it. A few minutes passed by, with me just absentmindedly staring at the table decoration.

"Number 88 and 89, please claim your orders."

As I heard my number being called, I stood up and made my way to the cashier. I immediately took my order and paid for it.

'Luckily, I didn't forget to pay for you this time.' I thought while making my way to the door.

But, as soon as I opened the door, a man suddenly entered, bumping me. As I was about to fall down, my grip on the coffee cup loosened, and it spilled on me as I flopped unceremoniously on the floor. I glared at the man, who stood there frozen after bumping me.

'Damn, that's another wasted cup of coffee I didn't get to taste.' I thought as I stood up.

"I'm sorry, miss. May I treat you coffee to compensate for the one you lost?" The man asked, his voice deep and enticing.

I took a good look at him, then shook my head.

"Maybe next time, when I'm not dripping with coffee." I told him before walking out.
