54 Ch. 52 - Celadon Mansion

"Should I travel to another Region or continue on with 'Kanto Region'?"

"Besides 'Kanto Region', I don't know anything about any other Region. What is the Storyline, What types of Pokemon are there, What types of Puzzle, and how to solve them. I don't know anything."

"Maybe I should focus on completing 'Kanto Region' first before venturing into other Regions."

"Yeah, I should prioritize completing 'Kanto Region' cause the other regions are uncharted territory for me. I might get stuck with some area which could take me a lot of time delaying me."

"And as long as I wait for some time, I am sure I'll be able to get useful information about other regions from the Pokemon Forums."

"Based on my speed, I think I should be able to clear 'Kanto Region' in less than a month or so."

"Alright, That settles it. I need to hurry and complete 'Kanto Region', or I might miss something important in other regions."

"I should start by exploring this city and raiding the Team Rocket hideout in 'Rocket Game Corner'." saying that I exited the Pokemon Center.

Right next to the Pokemon Center, there was a line of apartment complexes.

"I should start with these." I said, moving towards the only entrance of one of the apartment buildings which had a sign placed close to it that read.

<CELADON MANSION>

Reading the sign, I entered the building.

Upon entering the building, I found a spacious lobby with stairs leading up.

Moving forward, I noticed a sign that read 'Manager's Suite' outside a room in which an Old Lady was sitting with her Pokemon.

There was a Clefairy, Nidoran ♀, and Meowth playing around the Old Lady.

Ignoring the Pokemon, I approached the Old Lady.

"You shouldn't spend all your money on drinks."

"Try this instead." said the Old Lady as she handed me a cup filled with green color liquid.

[You obtained the Tea(Quest Item)]

''Quest Item'? Oh, Right, This is the Tea that I need to give to the Guard to get access to the Closed Road.'

'I honestly forgot how to get this Tea. Good thing I found it easily since I couldn't remember where to find it. It could have become a problem.'

"Nothing beats thirst like some hot TEA."

"It really is the best." said the Old Lady.

After receiving the Tea from the Old Lady, I exited the 'Manager's Suite' and headed to the stairs.

Moving from the Ground Floor to the First Floor of 'Celadon Mansion', I was in a similar lobby as the one on the Ground Floor.

I looked around and found a room similar to 'Manager's Suite' but it was empty.

I checked the sign outside the room to find out what this room was but it only said '$&@* %$@*% Meeting Room'

"What The Hell? What are these symbols? This is weird."

Since the room was empty and I couldn't decipher what was written on the sign, I headed to the Second Floor.

Similar to the other floors, the Second Floor also had a similar layout.

Moving to the room which had a sign that said '$&@* %$@*% Development Room'.

"What's up with these weird symbols?"

I looked inside the room and unlike the meeting room, this room had some NPCs inside.

"Maybe I'll find some answers from them."

I entered the room and there were 4 NPCs, three of which were working on their computers while the last one was standing at the front watching others work.

I move toward the NPC closest to me.

"I %r*t! the St*$y! Isn't ERIKA cute?"

'What the fuck did he just say? I understood the first part, but the rest was like static. And yes, Erika is cute.'

"I like MISTY a lot, too!"

"Oh, and SABRINA, I like her!"

'What is up with him? Is he also a pervert (Man Of Culture)?'

After interacting with him, I decided to move to the second NPC but just as I turned around, my eyes fell on the computer on which a lot of text was displaying.

I bent down to read what was written but everything I read didn't make any sense.

"What is this 'Ch. 52 - Celadon Mansion'."

I continue reading.

["Where the FUCK did they go?"]

'What does it all mean?'

I couldn't continue reading as the NPC shut down the computer.

"It's the Scr&$#!"

"Better not look at the ending!" the NPC said.

'Fuck, I should have read faster.'

'I need to find out more, maybe if I leave and come back, he would reset and the computer would be back ON.'

After that, I move to the second NPC.

"I'm the Graphic Artist!"

"I d*^$ everything."

This NPC didn't say much, but what I was hoping for was to take a good look at the computer, so as soon as the NPC stopped, I quickly turned to the computer.

The computer had a game running on it which looked a lot like the Pokemon games but the graphics were much higher quality.

Learning from my mistake, I quickly etched what every on the screen was, in my mind.

On the screen, there was a boy wearing a hat, standing outside of a house with a green roof and a red mailbox. There was a garden in the backyard of the house surrounded by white wooden fences. On the left, not far from the boy, there was a lake that stretched off the screen. There was a flower bed in front of the house, behind the metal fences.

Before I could look at more details, the NPC noticed and shut down the PC.

"Someone's playing a $&@* instead of working!" he said

"Please don't tell the manager" he whispered to me.

I didn't gain much from him. After interacting with him, I moved to the third NPC.

"Me?"

"I'm the programmer." he said

Same as last time, I quickly turned to the computer, but as soon as my eyes fell on the screen of the computer, my head started to hurt.

"FUCK!!! Why is my head hurting so much? I thought players can't get hurt inside the Pokemon World."

"Is it because of what is on the screen?"

Because of the pain, I couldn't think straight but even with the pain, I came to the conclusion that whatever was on the computer screen must be the cause of this sudden pain.

I hardened myself and again turned my head towards the screen, and as my eyes fell on the screen, the pain intensified but I didn't look away and was able to see what was on the screen.

However, I was only able to catch a glimpse of what was on the screen before the NPC shut down the computer, and as he did the pain stopped instantly.

From what I could piece together, It was some kind of code, like a computer program but it was glowing with golden color.

"It's the $&@* P*^%&$@"

"Messing with it could &^% out the $&@*"

'Something is definitely weird about these NPCs.'

After that only the last NPC remains, Taking a few deep breaths and recovering from the pain, I move towards the last NPC standing at the front of the room.

"Is that right?"

'Huh? What is right?'

"I'm the $&@* de*i#%er"

"Filling up your PokeDEX is tough, but don't quit!"

"When you finish, come tell me!"

'That's it???' I thought disappointedly.

'Fill PokeDEX'

I  was disappointed by the response of the last NPC.

"Okay, Now let's try leaving the room and coming back."

"This might reset them and hopefully I can again take a look at the computer."

With that said, I exited the room, but as I was walking out of the room, I failed to notice that the moment my body left the room, the room was engulfed in a golden light.

After walking a few steps away from the room, I turned around and went back to the room.

"Huh???"

"Where the FUCK did they go?"

Except for the NPC who asked me to fill the PokeDEX, all the other three NPC had disappeared and their computers were also turned off.

Since there were no NPC beside the computers, I quickly ran up to one of the computers and tried to turn it but no matter how many times I tried the computer would boot.

I switched to another computer but the result was the same, I even checked the power supply and switches but everything was in order.

After many failed attempts, I gave up.

'Something is definitely wrong, but there is nothing I can do.'

'I can't even understand half of what those NPC said.'

'NPC, yes.' I remembered that there was still one NPC left.

Approaching him, I found his response equally disappointing.

"Did you fill up your PokeDEX?"

[<Yes > <No >]

He didn't even say anything and asked for PokeDEX straight away.

Disheartened, I selected <No >.

"When you finish, come tell me!" he said.

"Nothing can be done now I guess." I said as I took a final look at the room before exiting and heading to the next floor.

As I climbed the stairs, I found myself on the roof of the building.

I looked around but there was no one there, the only thing present on the roof was five crates filled with plants. I tried to interact with them but got nothing.

Taking a moment to relax, I approached the edge of the roof and gazed out over the Pokémon World.

Because of the height, I could see far and wide.

To my left, I was able to see a giant purple building, which should be in 'Safron City' according to the map.

Not far from 'Safron City', I could see 'Vermilion City' mostly surrounded by stunning blue waters. Occasionally, I could spot Pokemon swimming and leaping out of the water.

To my right, I could see a huge forest which should be 'Viridian Forest' as well as 'Viridian City'.

Flocks of Flying-type Pokemon, such as Spearow and Pidgey, soared overhead.

I also saw a very long road close to 'Celadon City', looking closer there were NPCs moving around on that road.

Similar to the 'Viridian Forest', there was also a giant forest in the front.

As for the back, All I could see was Mountains.

"It really is a Magical World." I  remarked, taking in the breathtaking scenery.
