Victim #56's real name was Eve. The police had sent Eve to a motel a fair distance from her home and workplace. Eve sighed as she got ready for work the next morning. She could hardly sleep last night due to what happened. She still had to go work because of a big project that everyone has been working on.

Eve never bothered to get a car with her office being nearby. She was heading out the door when she received a text from her boss, David.

'I saw what happened on the news. Come to my office when you get here.'

She sighed inwardly. It's already on the news? She thought wearily. She went out of the hotel she was staying at and walked the fair distance to her office.

She walked in and was bombed with questions by her co-workers. They're all asking if she's alright and what happened was terrible.

"Yes, yes I'm fine," She said to all the questions heading her way. Although, her co-workers were worried, they weren't necessarily worried for her. In complete honesty, they didn't like her one bit. No, what they were worried about was for their own safety and for any family member they had that were in the city.

She made her past them all and into her office. Seeing her entering her office, her co-workers left to do their own job. Just as was settling in she remembered that her boss wanted to see her. She sighed tiredly as she got up and walked her into his office.

His office was nice with small plushies on his desk and drawings his daughters' made hanging on the wall. The man himself was sitting in his chair looking bored. When he looked up he grinned.

"It's good that you came," He said cheerfully.

Although, he appears childish he is a nice man with a heart full of gold or as they say. She nodded. She couldn't say they were friends exactly but they definitely didn't behave as boss and employee. There were rumors of her sleeping with him but they're not true. She has never slept with anyone and as far as she knew he loves his wife dearly.

"Are you alright?" He asked looking serious and worried.

"No, I'm not alright," Her voiced wobbled. She collapsed into one of the chairs that was in front of his desk. She slumped in the chair with both hands on her face. Though, they had a weird relationship, she knew she can rely on him. Before she knew it, she was crying.

"Oh, you poor dear," He looked like he was about to cry too, even though, he wasn't there with her. He got up and around the desk and hugged her as she cried her eyes out.

"You're safe now, you're safe now," He whispered.

After crying for about an hour she went back to her office with her head down hoping no one would noticed her puffy eyes.

They didn't notice her puffy cheeks but they did notice how long she's been on their boss's office.

"Look at her, that slut," One whispered.

"So, shameful," Another tsked.

She heard it all but said nothing. She hated causing conflict. So much so that it made her appear weak and a pushover.

Hours past and it was time hit the clock. She shivered when that expression came to her mind. She walked out of the building in the early evening and decided to go home to see what damage had been done.

As she walked, she went by a rather very tall man with dark hair and beautiful deep brown eyes. Of course, to her, he was just another stranger going home. But unbeknownst to Eve, she has walked by this man every evening, every day she has work.
