On average, a person will do crazy things once in a while. No matter how good your mental health is, it was natural for a person to act crazy in terms of desperation.

In Amber's situation, it was fear.

Fear of dying, for her family and the future.

Not only they will kill her if she didn't pay the remaining balance from the loan shark, but they will also kidnap her sister and god knows what will happen to her. She's only 12!

It started 2 months ago, when the news about her father's gambling addiction broke, from 5 years ago. Imagine, you already saved it long ago suddenly someone cared about what happened 5 years ago, they tried to tell them the truth but the shareholders are distrustful towards her father, causing his company's stocks to plummet. It was sinking ship overnight. She tried to save it by selling her infamous boutique to the public market, it did save but not enough to start anew.

But there's a catch, an unknown number called and threatens that if they don't give Amber's father location, they will take her little sister, until you paid fully the remaining debt of her father from a loan shark that amounted two billion.

That's when you got to know that all this time, your father is fell into addiction that was out of control. They lost their mansion, their named property and their hiding father who forsaken the fate of Amber's little sister.

In a day, everything is ruined.

So now, a month later she's standing outside a huge building with an envelope in one hand. It was a letter from a lawyer. They are inviting her because of something to do with Rosalie, her friend.

Rosalie died in a car accident with her husband Nathan. Rose and Nate has a five years old son that happened to be her godchild, survived the accident leaving him this huge building as the heir.

As the Godmother of the child, although it was not on her knowledge or consent, she needs money. A desperate measure called for a desperate situation. She's responsible for the little heir well-being and the company until he's on legal age to take this inheritance.

Amber can't help her lips twitch into a small curve. Lady luck is on her side today. She thought the universe might be choking now.

This is what she came here for. This child's money can save her own family and her. She needs this child. She needs him no matter what. She will get him.

Even if she doesn't know his name… yet.
