Chapter-1[Untold Myth]

"Finally...I am free, I could meet Father and Mother again..." A boy standing on the edge of a cliff muttered.

The boy's eyes were black and swollen from crying. He was wearing a simple white shirt and a lower, with slippers on his feet.

His left hand was clutching tightly on a key that was hanging on his next with a locket attached to it.

"Father...the myth was never real...Mother was right..." The boy muttered one last time and jumped from the cliff with tears of deep regret and relief falling from his eyes and closed his eyes waiting for his death.

But suddenly, the key, the red key he was clutching on shone in bright red light and engulfed him just as his head was about to hit the rock.

Soon, the boy appeared in a garden-like space, where various plants of unknown species to him were. The air in that space was so refreshing that the boy felt his body getting rejuvenated just from breathing.

He opened his eyes, laying on the soft grass that was the softest thing he ever experienced after losing his parents.

"...Is this afterlife?" The boy muttered lightly.

He then continued and asked, "Could I meet my parents here...?"

But no answer came. It was as though he was alone in this space.

'So I am alone even after death...?' He sadly thought.

Suddenly, a small fist size blood-red orb that continued to flicker appeared over his body.

He stared at that red orb curiously and spoke, "Is this the devil coming to get me?"

*Pop*

The red orb suddenly increased in size and then turned into a little girl with blond hair, red eyes, sharp ears, and small fangs coming from her mouth. She also had small leathery wings on her back.

The little girl was floating in the air as she looked at the boy.

They both stared at each other for several minutes.

"...Underworld shouldn't employ underage kids, it is illegal." The boy finally commented, but the look in his eyes was lifeless.

To him, that girl was no more 10 or 12 years old, but her features were like a devil, so it was natural that he thought of her as a devil who had come to fetch his soul.

The little girl tilted her head to her left.

"Oracle is not a demon though. Oracle is a Vampire." The girl said as she pointed at her fangs.

'A vampire...? Like that Myth?' The boy thought.

"What Myth?" The little girl asked with a small smile on her face.

The boy thought for a moment and then sat on the ground as he patted the space next to him.

"Sit here, I will tell you about that myth." He said.

The little girl hovered down beside him and sat in a cross-legged manner.

"It was about something that my parents found in the records in one of the first gates, it was about an old era. In an Era when the gods lived in the world, the other species roamed freely without any obstruction to them. It was believed to be the most peaceful era of all the time." The boy paused as the memories of his parents telling him this legend again and again reverted in his mind.

A single tear left his eyes.

But what he failed to notice was the darkened expression of the girl when he mentioned the Gods which quickly vanished.

He then shook his head and continued after clearing his eyes, "But that era came to an end. Seven Invaders invaded the world. Every species joined hands with each other to stop those invaders. They succeeded but weren't able to kill those invaders who invaded the world. So, they sealed those invaders in 7 different places."

The girl's eyes trembled at the mention of 7 invaders, with her hand clenching into fists. She was gritting her teeth with her eyes shining red in anger.

"That was what my Parents found, but they were curious and wanted to know more, and due to which they lost their lives, leaving me with this key." The boy showed the key he was wearing to the girl who opened her eyes wide when she saw that key.

It seemed as though she recognized that key. And the boy saw it too.

"Do you know about this key?" The boy asked lightly.

The girl nodded, extended her right hand, and directly touched the key on the boy's neck.

The moment girl's hand touched the key, it shone before the key turned into red liquid and got absorbed into the little girl's body.

The boy opened his eyes wide, not understanding what just happened. But before he could ask, the girl's body started to glow in an ominous red glow.

Her figure that was around 10 to 12 years changed into that of a girl around 14 years. Her dress changed into a Black Gothic Lolita dress with white frills on it.

But the most major change that the boy felt was the girl's eyes. They become even more blood-red.

Soon, the red ominous glow surrounding the girl got sucked into her body and she stared at the boy with a small smile on her face.

"Should I correct that myth now?" She asked.

The boy nodded absentmindedly. He was still trying to process what just happened.

"Then, it all started when some bugs invaded the world I was living in and stole a part of the proudest creation of our ancestors, but knowing that they would be crushed like insects, they kidnapped the Princess too, who was only 3 years old at that time." The girl said.

The sky all around the space started to turn red, while the green lush plants and grass that were in the boy's sight started to wither at a rapid rate.

The boy saw that too, but ignored it and focused on the girl's words.

The girl continued, "They escaped that world, and 7 Guardians went after them to save the princess and took our creation back, but when they reached the world, they were blackmailed as they tried to use the Princess as a tool. Unable to do anything, the 7 Guardians accepted to be sealed along with the Princess in 7 different places all over the world."

The whole sky turned blood-red, the plants, grass, and everything withered. Nothing was left except the black ground that had red creeping in it too. It felt like the End of the world arrived.

The boy already got the gist of the situation as he heard more from the girl. The number of times his parents told him the legend was everything but less.

"Those bugs that stole and kidnapped the princess were called Gods, and Demons. Now tell me, you get the gist of the myth?" The girl asked.

There was a blood-red aura surrounding her, with the whole sky flickering as though some glitches were formed in the reality itself.

The boy nodded.

"If what you told me was true, then did my parents lose their lives searching for a false truth?" He asked.

The girl shook her head. Even though she was appearing calm, it was clear that she was angry right now.

"They don't. But what they were searching for was but a twisted myth."

She assured him but would she be assured just from simple words?

His parents lost their lives, living him alone when he was just 12 years old...!!

With his hands on his knees, he clenched his fists. He felt angry right now.

'Why did they die for?'

"If you want, you could take revenge too." The girl whispered in his ears like a devil.

"On whom?" The boy asked.

On whom should he take his revenge?

Dungeon that devoured his parents?

Or those hunters that failed to save them?
