He sighed and turned his attention to his cellphone for a moment, while the others conversed and laughed away the time. Drinks soon arrived as everybody got into the groove by the poolside with jokes being told and teases being dealt to anyone who fell into line. Oliver did his best to be present in mind in the moment, but it was increasingly hard. 

His heart drew towards Bruce, with so many questions and so many intents seemingly being drawn back from times past. 

"Was he on that bridge for me?" he asked himself. "What was he doing there?"

There was room for debate on whether or not Bruce was telling the truth about being drawn to the bridge without anything in particular bringing him there. 

"Is he messing with me?" he asked himself again.
