10 Need your opinion

" If you are going to join this company, I will see how you can't fall for my charms…" he thought with a devilish smile.

She silently walked out of his room with a baffled expression on her face. She needed a job but she didn't know what kind of work a secretary needed to do. 

Thinking about the CEO's offer, she exited the company. Slowly she walked to the nearby bus stop and waited for the bus. After a while, She boarded the bus to go to her apartment. On the way to her home, she thought about the offer.

As far as she came to know the information through the internet about Mr Richards, she had a good name in society. So she thought it would be a chance to know how to handle business. But she was in the dubious state whether she should accept the offer as a personal secretary.

Once she reached her stop, she got down and reached her flat. She took the key to unlock the door but it was already opened. She stepped inside and looked around the living room. All of the sudden, she heard a noise from the kitchen. 

" Thief at my flat! How can he enter! " Thinking she walked towards the kitchen taking a knife from the dining table. She quickly went to the kitchen and noticed her Aunt was busily cooking.

" Aunt Garry ..," Eva screamed.

The woman dropped the wooden soup ladle from her hand with Eva's voice. She turned towards Eva and said, " You scared me, my child .."

Eva glared at her and asked, " When do you come? ! How many times, I told you to take some rest? By the way, do would have to come in the night then how could you come early? "

" I wanted to surprise you. Not only that I want to prepare your favourite dishes by the time you return from the interview" she replied.

"I already informed you that I already cooked last night for you as I had an interview. You just need to heat it before eating .." Ava reminded.

" I remembered about it. But I want to prepare your favourite Creamy chicken soup by the time you return as I know that you will be selected for the job, " she replied to Ava. On seeing the confidence for her in Garry's eyes, her eyes became wet.

" But ..you are not well " Ava whined.

" You already took five months off to take care of me. Let me work now as I am feeling better now …." She informed Ava.  Ava could not argue with her so she kept quiet and stood beside her while she was preparing soup.

" So ...when are you joining your new job? " Garry asked her while placing a bowl of soup on the small dining table. Then both sat on the chairs near to the table. Aunt Garry served soup in a small bowl for Ava then to herself.

" Actually … I am going to ask your opinion about joining the job…" she replied while having the soup.

" My opinion!! " Her aunt questioned, looking at her sceptically. Then she continued, " Is there any problem? " 

" Actually … I got a job as a personal secretary at Richard's company instead of applying for marketing head," she said.

 " You always like to work on the marketing side. Better you don't join for this post " Aunt Garry advised.

" It's true. But the company has a good reputation in the country. Most importantly the pay is double compared with the previous job. Not only that they will provide me with a two-bedroom flat to stay near to the company " Ava explained.

" I want you to stay with me so that I can take care of you. You are the only one for me now " Ava said, placing her palms on her knuckles.

" I too want to be with you at the last stage of my life " Garry smiled with a weak smile.  Ava felt so emotional when she mentioned that she was suffering from cancer and was in the third stage. She spent all her saving on her treatment for the past five months. So she thought if she joins in Richard's company, she could get a chance to save her Aunt.

But Ava was oblivious about Cameron's plan by offering her job for the post of his personal secretary.

" I will not let anything happen to you " she promised with her wet eyes. They had food in silence and went to their respective bedrooms.

Thinking about all these things, Eva decided to join as a personal secretary in Richard's company. She needed the job to support her Aunt's medical expenses.
