1 1. THE AUDITIONS
People gathered in Kylie Field Stadium, USA had gone wild with excitement about the concert starting in a few minutes.
Stylist did my final makeup and I was ready for the concert. This is one of the biggest International concerts I am going to conduct. I felt my heartbeat fasten in every second and I was sweating like I'm trapped in a furnace.
I cheered myself, " Venus, it's time for you to rock ". The crowd had gone wild at the sight of me on the stage.
I yelled " HELLO EVERYONE !!! Good evening and welcome to my international concert. Let's rock this show yay ..!! ".
But they weren't responding. What happened to them ???
They started saying in unison " Venus its time for you to go, wake up!!" What are they talking about? I'm awake. Suddenly the stage started shaking. WTH..!! Is it an earthquake?
The audience was still chanting the same sentence. Aren't they afraid of the earthquake???. I'm too young to die!!! I closed my eyes and prayed. God take me to heaven, not to hell!
" HEY WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD...!! "
I suddenly opened my eyes to see my best friends Heechul, Zeb, Bai, Marcel and Luca. These 5 idiots are my best friends ever since I was born (literally) and we are
neighbours too.
Heechul is actually a college student who is 9 years elder than us. Well, let's say he is of a playboy type.
Wait. Did I sleep just before my audition? I mentally facepalmed,
You're amazing Yoobi. Well done!
We were in a waiting room currently waiting for my audition for X- factor UK.
"Heyyyy guys..!"
I was annoyed by the familiar voice screeching behind us.
"Oh my god, Philip!!! Why don't you shout a little more louder ?!" I was really annoyed.
"Yoobi dear, why are you so annoyed? Did you wake up on the wrong side of your bed?" He was really getting into my nerves.
Btw people really close to me call me 'Yoobi'.
Well yeah, you can guess. The dream has really irritated me. I really wanna become a pop star !!!
Anyway, I forgot to mention, he is Philip Lahela, living a block away from our house. We're best friends since Elementary School. We, the 7 of us are called " THE DOPE GANG " which we named after watching the 'avengers'.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is my crazy family.
Shortly after Bai came to me and said those four words which really had the power to give me a heart attack.
" You are next, Yoobi... "
I might be a little dramatic, but you can guess. This was the biggest audition I was ever going to attend. Oh my gosh, I'm really nervous. I heard that Beyonce is here as a guest for X factor UK. I'm so excited and nervous as well. Phils gave me the water bottle. Idk but my throat had gone dry after the dream

" Are you Venus ..? Ok, It's your turn now. " A lady called from the waiting room. It's my cue. Everyone wished me luck as I went to the stage. My heart was pounding so fast that I even doubted it might come out. Though, I acted casual and entered the stage with a smile.
" What's your name sweetie? ". Beyonce asked me with a million-dollar smile on her face.
OMG..! Beyonce smiled and called me sweetie! I'm so blessed. She called me again as I spaced out to my own dreamy world. Woah!! She really caught me staring at her. They asked me to start and I started singing my favourite song 'Girl on fire ' by Alicia keys.

My tension flew away as I got immersed in the song. As the song ended, Judges and the audience did a standing ovation. I guess they really liked my song.
They selected me as the contestant of the X factor. You can guess how excited I am. But shortly after they gave a piece of advice that since I won't be able to handle the pressure of being a solo contestant, so I should consider being a group contestant.
As soon as I reached the backstage, my gang rushed and gave me a bone-crushing hug We were all excited and wanted to stay there a bit longer. But our stomachs didn't stop growling and left us with no option other than to return home.
We were at the front of the studio waiting for Oppa to pick us. We were so excited and immersed in our conversations, that we didn't see someone approaching us.
" Yoobi ..!! "
It was a girl. I turned to see Perrie Edwards, my senior and my mate in our school's music club. Luca said that she also got selected. She was accompanied by two pretty girls.
" Hey Perrie, please don't call Yoobi here. By the way, congrats! You also got into X- factor, right!" I was so happy for her. She was such a talented girl and had a mesmerising voice.
Perrie was also in a happy mood "Thanks Yoobi and congrats to you too. By the way, these are my friends; Leigh and Jesy. They also got selected and the authorities suggested on making a band to just, you know, lessen the burden."
"Oh! They suggested that to me too. Why don't we become a band then? We could make an amazing four girls' band." I was so excited. I mean, it will be so amazing. They are such wonderful people and together, we can make such a great band, right?
They seemed to like my idea.
"Yeah, it'll be awesome."Leigh high fived me.
" Cool...!! We'll text you the place where we are going to practice." Jesy said as they got into the parking lot. I bid farewell to them and went to the front gate. They were still waiting, tired and hungry.
Hasn't Oppa arrived yet? It's been like twenty minutes since I've been gone.
Where was he? Did something happen to him??
"Guys, did anyone try calling Heechul Oppa?" I was so worried.
" Yeah, I tried calling his number but it doesn't seem to be connecting."
Ohh, God! Please keep Heechul safe...
"Let go home and check there. Maybe he might have some girl with him."
Bai said. She really knew Heechul; maybe because they are cousins. I think I mentioned Heechul being a playboy. He had at least one girl each week(All credits to his fair looks...Psstt).
Since we had decided to stay at my house as my dad was going to make his special food, barbecue(Master Chef dad), they didn't have their breakfast properly.
We started walking to the next street to find him, but there was no sign of that Nincompoop.
Luca was so blind when he becomes hungry. He rushed to an ice cream parlour nearby. I was also hungry that I too wanted to follow him, but we needed to find Oppa. So I dragged him back. Well, I had to hear his whining all way long.
After a few minutes of search which seemed like years, we found that he has left his car in the parking lot and went out somewhere.
My eyes were wandering around the street. Suddenly something struck my view. I saw Oppa talking to a girl at a cafe.
"I think I found Heechul". They followed my gaze towards the cafe.
He was flirting with her and saw us glaring daggers at him. It was like one vs six. He gulped, stood up eventually and came towards us pretending as nothing happened.
"What the heck, Oppa? We were roaming around the street in search of you and you were flirting with a girl there? Not to mention our stomachs growling with hunger". Marcel who's the foodie of our gang barked at him.
He rushed to the parking lot and took us home as fast as he can. The ride back home was silent, well everyone was still mad at Oppa.
"Come on, how long can you guys stay like this? I'm sorry. I promise I won't repeat this ever." Heechul Oppa was really irked.
"Who is she, Oppa ?" I couldn't help but ask. Don't mind my curiosity.
" Her name is, I think Maddie." Heechul was a player so he often forgets the names of the girls he went out with. But now I'm really excited about my birthday which is tomorrow. I've made plans for tomorrow.
On reaching home, we hurried to the dining room to see mom and dad already seated and engaged in conversation.
" Honey, how is your mission Artemis going..?" I heard my dad enquiring to mom about her work.
My mom Katherine Orlean works as a senior scientist at NASA and my dad Sebastian Stark is a dermatologist working at a hospital in London. They try to adjust their working time and make sure that I'm not left out because of their work. I really appreciate that.
They hugged me as we joined them in the table and their face held an emotion I couldn't decipher.
"How was your audition, dear?" Mom was really nervous.
"Mom, My audition....." Me, being the drama queen ever just thought of playing with them. Tears slowly welled inside her eyes, and she placed an arm on my shoulder to comfort me. I was cracking with laughter inside my mind about how I acted.
"My audition went well and I got selected!!" I yelled happily.
"God! Yoobi, you scared the hell out of me." Mom scolded, slapping on my hand, smiling and hugged me like there was no tomorrow. I could feel her happiness.
"Why don't we celebrate this?" Luca asked as he started devouring his food.
"It seems to be a nice idea, we should celebrate." Dad cheered for me and we started our fun night as my friends' parents came home to celebrate.
One thing I know for sure,
I've got the best family ever.
