12 Ki Power System

Hermes and Robin had a few drinks while they were discussing about the memories of their homeland. Without him asking she knew that the answer he was looking for was about what happened on that terrible week all those years ago.

"Hermes I'll tell you everything I know about the incident but that was many years ago and things have changed for the better since then. So I stopped digging and let it go because it would be pointless for me to know about that now... I can't bring all those people that died back to life..."

"I know that time doesn't move backwards, it only goes forward. However, I also know that there are people that time doesn't apply to. There are people that are paused while everyone else's time moves forward." He takes a sip from his drink and continues talking. "I hate being part of the outer oblivious circle... I rather be in the inner circle, even if i can't really change what happened, I'd rather know the truth. I'd rather cut my arms off then be part of the 'ignorant is bliss'"

Robin just stared at him... She had never heard anyone talk with that kind of passion, with that fire in their eyes, specially someone so young. She was determined to train him because she sees infinite potential. *he is the one that can change that rotten planet* is all she could think about. So, she put her drink down and started talking...

"It is true that 13 years ago, when I was about 12 years old La Española was invaded by pirates, but It wasn't just any random wild pirates... It was the most wanted treasure hunting pirate crew known as the Scratched Skull pirates. They were ruthless and had a lot of men power. Their first mate alone killed a lot of our soldiers by himself. They were responsible for a lot of casualties, however, as if it wasn't bad enough already, there was another enemy that attacked our land at the same exact time... It was what appeared a foreign army from another country. They were wearing strange clothes and they demanded to see all of the strongest men of the island. But no one said a word to them and so they went on a rampage. I had seen some crazy shit in my life, but what I witnessed that day surpassed everything else, it was humans shooting powers from their hands and mouths... there were humans transforming into animals destroying and killing every single thing in their paths, they even killed a lot of the pirates and all of those who stood before them."

Hermes listened...

"I don't know what was worse, all of your loved ones being killed by the greed of the pirates. Or seeing your mom being dismantled by a human transformed into a monster, while you're being tossed around by a large man you've never seen before in your life..." she said as she gripped her own arm.

Hermes stopped her and said "Robin..." there was no one else that understood what she was feeling more than him and all of those that survived those times. "I know, its like this feeling of helplessness that haunts you for the rest of eternity, that's the feeling I hated the most ever since I was a kid... look Robin I admit It takes me a long time to trust people because all they do is disappoint. The word friend is worthless. My expectation of everyone is low. But based on this whole week on studying the type of person you are... I mean you haven't disappointed me yet..."

Robin giggles and looks to the side while shaking her head. Hermes continues talking, " look what I'm trying to say is I trust you and its cool if you don't want to talk anymore but I am here if you're down to."

She looks back at him and smiles, " Hermes I am no weakling that I need your help in anything hahaha, but your intuition is right. Although I dont agree with all of what you said, I've come to respect you... Gosh I can't believe you're that young, the men older than you could learn a lot from you, alma vieja (old soul)"

He smiled and blushed..

"like I said your intuition was right, It was people from Europa that caused the major casualties to our little island, the reason was that word got out that our people had something that made them keep fighting and got stronger the more they got knocked around. They were in search of strong people in order to bring them back to Europa, however, they were part of a rebellious savage group that believed that the trial system wasn't good enough and so they took matter into their own hands... After they saw that the rumor of our people was true, they captured a lot of the injured men, women, but mostly the children that survived and took them back to planet Europa to live, afterwards the group got punished for their actions, who knows if they're still alive."

"I'm guessing you were one of the children they took.." Hermes said and Robin gave him a nod. Hermes got out of the water, took a towel and started drying himself with it... Robin was surprised at all of the wounds he had all over his back, so she got out of the water, "Good now that you're satisfied and I answered your questions let's get started with the actual training, follow me." Robin said as she smacked his ass and walked inside the house... He just stares at her butt as she walked away and shakes his head while rolling his eyes with a smile.

After some time passed, they were sitting on the table and Robin had a paper and pencil on her hand and she started drawing some form of diagram titled "Ki Power System"

"Okay so when it comes to Ki there are two main types of it, Beast and Element Mana... About 60% of people have Element Mana, 32% have Beast Mana, about 7.9% of people are special and they have both Element and Beast Mana.."

"and the .1% ?" Hermes asked.

"Well is not really that important right now. So don't worry about it. "

"umm okay." he responded dissatisfied.

"So, there are different categories inside of each type. If you have Element type, there are three different types of mana. Number one and the most common is that they have one type of element, doesn't matter which. Number two is less common and is that they have the power to use two different types of elements, and the last one being the most rare, is that they are part of the Special element, such as things like Light or Darkness. Thanks to me you can see how that looks like right now..." Robin put her finger up and a little ball of really bright yellowish light started forming.. he couldn't even see Robin let alone anything else inside of the room... "that's the light power, I was born with special element mana. Not many people have it you know."

Hermes was impressed and learning about ki made him really excited. He said, " that power is broken, im sure if you attacked me with that I wouldnt even be able to react in time." and she replied, "haha thats what Im here to teach you, even though my power is really good, it still has it weaknesses, specially against top tier opponents. but dont worry we'll get to that... Okay so on the Beast Mana there are actually four types. The first being the most common which is that people are able to transform one part of their body into a certain type of animal... Second which is less common, being qualities of two different animals and then the special type that they can transform most of their body into a sort of mythical beast... however this rarely ever happens, I think i've only seen one in my lifetime... and the last type is those who can fully transform into a animal but is hard for a lot of them to control this power, since they can lose control and the beast inside of them takes over them.... are you following everything Hermes?"

"Yeah, is not hard to but quick question... how do people know which type they are? do they just awaken it once they train or something of the sort?"

"Well, you can train hard and acquire the power through hard work or some people already have the power once they reach the age of 2 if their parents already have their own Ki awaken. Although, there is another way to awaken your Ki, but it is extremely dangerous and desperate... and to answer your other question, there's actually a celestial technology sphere called 'Pandora's sphere' that if people transfer their energy into it, it brings out their type of Ki, this is how people know what type of ki they have... anyway let me finish... Aside from Pandora's sphere, there's another celestial technology called 'Pandora's Box' and by putting your hand inside of it, the box takes your energy and creates a weapon that suits you..."

"eh, I think I'll pass on the weapon, even though that sounds cool as hell, Im more of a hand to hand fighter, its the way I fell most comfortable." Hermes said and Robin replied, "everyone has to go through this. You're no exception... Besides the weapon that's made for you actually boosts your abilities, It makes you stronger if you combine your power with it, that's the reason why they are important."

"...we'll see... anyway what type of weapon do you have that compliments your light power?"

Robin got up and went to her belongings and brought back her weapons, they were two types of daggers that fit her hands perfectly, they looked like they didn't weigh very much, "these are my daggers, I'm a close range fighter for the most part and these have helped me improve a lot, and it also complements my position in our nation..." she put her daggers down and continued talking, " which brings me to my last point of us talking for today. I don't know if Ashley told you about it but like any where you reside, you need money. There are plenty of positions to take on. As well as register to take on any missions like collect a certain animals fur needed for an antidote. I'm currently a general and the head of the Bounty Hunters division, we collect bounties of wanted people or animals. I don't take many people in, only elite can join but I do want you to be part of it and Bruce agrees with me, well i don't care if he agrees or not I know you would choose to be with us regardless, because is a place where we constantly fight the strongest opponents... I heard about your interaction with a beast type, I was impressed... our powers are nerfed on earth that's why you were able to last that long. Going forward you are going to be living in a pool of the strongest opponents"

"Bounty hunting huh.... sounds exciting" Hermes smiled.

"Okay, good now that we're done with all of this lets go get some rest because the real hell starts early in the morning. Prepare yourself.."

"Yo siempre estoy listo" (I'm always ready) Hermes says as he stared into her eyes, he wasn't scared of going through hell, hell is not hot enough to burn him down nor cold enough to freeze him.
