2 The Talk

As Nate regains his consciousness he experiences a splitting headache which gradually dies down.

He notices that he is surrounded by darkness, and he can't seem to see or hear anything nor can he move which leaves him paralyzed with fear and despair.

After what seemed like an eternity a warm and soft light passes through the horizon as if it's dawn. And his surroundings gets brighter and filled with light.

"Welcome to my domain!!"

He hears a warm and majestic voice from his surroundings. He gets freaked out "Who are you?! Where am I?? No wait.. Who am I?!!! I can't remember!! What's happening to me?!!!? "

"Mmm?!, I see that your soul is injured let me help you with that." The majestic voice declared.

Nate felt something warm pour into his being, he felt like he was under a warm shower. After few seconds he felt whole again, he could remember his name, his family, his memories where back. And then it struck him, he realized that he was dying and panic started to flood him.

"Calm down, there is no point in panicking since you are already dead" The Voice sounded again.

"What?! I am dead?!?" Nate was shocked and then it struck him. "If I am dead then where am I now? And who are you?"

"I am glad you asked. You can call me Void and you are in my domain. Usually when someone dies the soul moves on to the Astral plane, but in your case there seemed to be some kind of error and your soul ended up in the Void Dimension and normally anything that ends up here gets assimilated into this plane but I noticed your soul to be peculiar as you seem to be resisting this process."

Nate was freaking out by hearing all this, at the same time his inner self seemed to be screaming out. He was wondering whether it would be like in the novels he have read about the MC reincarnating after death into some kind of magical world. In any case he has to ask the most important question here.

"If what you are saying is true, then what am I supposed to do now that I am rejected out of this Astral plane you told me about"

The Void replied "While you where unconscious I went through your fragmented memories, I saw that you watched many worlds through out your life"

"Huh? What do you mean?" Nate was confused.

"I am talking about the movies, series and animes you have watched"

"Ohh! So you mean to say that all that fiction is true and those worlds exists?!!" Nate asked excitedly.

"Well they do and don't at the same time" The Void responded.

"What do you mean?"

"Have you heard about Schrodinger's Cat? It's theory made by you humans"

"Yes I have heard about it but I am not familiar with what it exactly is" said Nate as he gets even more confused.

"You see in that theory it states that every event is a branch point; the cat is both alive and dead, even before the box is opened, but the "alive" and "dead" cats are in different branches of the universe, both of which are equally real, but which do not interact with each other. Which means that those fictional worlds are there but at the same time it's not because they are figments of imagination." The Void explained

"So what you are saying is that all those worlds are dream worlds of sorts right?"

"In a way yes, but with some external influence it's possible to make the dream world a reality and you can help me with that"

"Me?! What can I do?" asked Nate

"You can help me by stabilizing the world with your existence, I can help you get reincarnated into a dream world and you just have to live your life, the only requirement is to be strong enough to influence that world."

"Seriously?!" Nate was excited but suspicious at the same time "But how does this benefit you?"

"You see, as The Void life gets bit boring around here as there is nothing interesting to do and if you make one of these worlds a reality then I can watch the events and happening in the world to relive my boredom"

"Oh, I see." Nate was convinced since he too have suffered a lot under the torture known as boredom "Since I am the one being reincarnated will I get to chose which world I can go to?"

"Hmm, Alright you can decide which world you want to go to"

"Great, I want to go to 'The World' form Onepiece" Nate replied thrilled.

"Hmm, Fine, but you need to remember that this world will be bit different than the one you know and you will get something special to help you along the way, take it as my goodwill"

Just as The Void finished speaking the whole dimension starts vibrating and Nate feels some kind of pull that dragged him into a bridge of rainbows.

"We will meet again my friend, until then." he heard Void for one last time as he was completely submerged into the lights and disappeared.
