9 News of Tragedy

As the ship got closer to the harbor Nate noticed his dad on the deck of the ship.

The ship docked and his dad came over to where he and his mother where standing only to be confused seeing Nate. At first he couldn't make out who he was but under closer observation he understood that he was son and was shocked by his growth spurt.

"Nate, look at you!! All grown up while I was gone." said Leon as he hugged his son.

"Welcome back Dad!!" said Nate

"Welcome back Dear. How was your trip?!" asked Lilly

"It was great. And I am starving, I have missed your food so much." said Leon

"Ara..Ara..Ufufufu.. Come I have prepared food, let go home and have lunch." said Lilly

Nate and his parents went back home and had lunch, while Nate was excited to know about the happenings around the world and to ask his father to forge him a sword. Right after lunch he bombarded his Dad with questions.

His dad told him about the happenings around world he had heard about in his trip. He heard about the increased activity of pirates since Gold Rogers death almost 3 years ago and he also heard about something that interested.

The tragedy of the island of Ohara where an entire island was sinked with a Buster Call by the Marines due to the Ohara clan seeking out forbidden knowledge to destroy the world. The most shocking news was about the demon child Nico Robin who had a bounty of 79,000,000 berry for sinking five war ships and the entire world is out hunting for her.

Nate who knew the true story behind the incident was dejected when heard the news, but he couldn't do anything as he wasn't powerful enough to go against the WG and Marines yet.

In order to divert his attention from such a depressing topic he asked his father if he can forge him a sword. When asked why he need one he said that he wanted to get stronger by training his swordsmanship so that he can protect his parents. Leon laughed at this statement and promised his son that he will make him an amazing sword.

After talking with his father some more he went towards his room and started to telepathically communicate with Baal.

"Hey Baal, what do you think about my progress?"

"Not bad for a three year old, you need to work some more on your Haki but your physique has improved greatly granting you the strength of an average man." stated Baal "But don't get cocky because you will not be able to use even have of your strength due to your lack battle experience."

"Hmm.. That's not entirely my fault either, I have spend the entire three months training." Nate said

"Now that the basics are done, you will need to start working out you body more with more physical training since the lightning refinement is loosing its efficiency with each refinement." instructed Baal.

"Guess I need to start making some changes to my training menu." said Nate.

Seven years later, in a forest next to the WestValley village a youth can be seen running amongst the tree at break neck speeds and chasing him was giant wolf. The youth had fair skin with muscular build and dark blue hair he carried himself confidently and had a silly smile on his face.

"Hey over sized mutt, is that all you can do?!!" the youth proactively insult the beast.

The beast was clearly enraged but no matter how fast it ran it couldn't catch up to the small prick that infuriated it.

"Ahh.. enough its got boring running from you and it doesn't look like you will ever catch me. Lets just end this." said the youth as he stopped running and faced the beast.

He jumped towards it with his fist blackened with some kind of energy. The beast was taken aback by the sudden change, but before it could do anything its head was blown of by a single punch from the youth.

"Too weak.. And that was one of the most strongest mutated beast on this island. Hey, Baal what should I do now that I have almost cleared out all of the mutants here." said Nate who was ten years old now.

"Those beast where regular animals that got mutated due to the energy released by us Djinns during our wait for your arrival in this mountain." said Baal "When we possessed your ring and left the mountain, the pressure that we exerted all over the mountain restricting these beast were gone they were set free. It was due to your efforts past these seven years that the villagers were safe from harm. You can continue to hone your sword skills with the help from your dad."

"I guess that's the only way since mom said that I can't set sail by myself until I turn 15 or manage to beat my dad." said Nate

He was pretty surprised to find out that his dad was a really skilled swordsman and even though he gotten a lot stronger he has never managed to beat him in a fight.

'I am as strong as Luffy after the time skip without his gear four and even then I can't seem to beat him, he is more skilled than me in the way of sword and even his Haki is much stronger than me. He is always predicting my movements as if he is seeing the future, he must have most likely attained the pinnacle of Observation Haki.'

Nate was wondering about his dads abilities and his past, after all someone of this kind of skill cannot be unknown to the rest of the world.

"Don't worry once you have mastered Eternal Haki, I am pretty sure you will be able to beat him." said Baal

"Haa.. I have mastered other three types of Haki but I can't seem to make any progress with Eternal Haki." said Nate depressed

"Of course it will be hard, Once you have mastered it you will gain a giant leap in strength almost around ten times your current ability and then you can also access my powers which will further improve strength." said Baal
