87 THE 17TH ACCOUNT: THE LAST OF LABYRINTH? 1

I clutched the in front of my dress that Eric ripped as I looked at the document on the floor. Then, I looked up to him. He sighed deeply and took off his cloak, knelt down, and wrapped it around me ever so gently.

"I would never have done this to you if you just conform to all my wishes. Just turn a blind eye and let me lead you. I promise you a life of wealth and abundance. I'll be loyal to you and I will love you… just don't defy me," he said as he gently fixed the stray strands of my hair away from my face.

He picked up the document on the floor and handed it to me, "Let me be the one  you'll spend the rest of your life with because I'm the only one left."

My eyebrows met. What he said confused me. "What's this?" I asked him pertaining to the document.

He leaned closer to my ear and whispered. "Labyrinth's gone. It's a report on how my fleet destroyed Labyrinth and ALL the crew. No one was left alive. Everyone perished."
