130 The Northern Gate

The main army of the Demian forces assaulted the city's eastern gate under the command of General Abel, while the Nalduri army tackled the south. With those two powerful armies employing anti-ward techniques, Alger's Devotion, and many group formation artillery methods, the city itself was thrown into turmoil, soldiers mobilizing everywhere to concentrate on the east and south.

Captain Stone led a routing force around the north of the city, heading for the western gate to disrupt any attempt to evacuate, and to control supply lines from deeper in Toubian lands. At least, that's how it was made to look.

The routing force had only set out after the two armies had thoroughly started their assault, and the city's soldiers were concentrated on the gates under conflict. That was because hidden among Captain Stone's routing force was something else.
