Vikram's POV

Her friend Ruchika teased her, " So who was that very good looking man who came to drop you? He was looking so handsome. He usually comes to pick and drop you. Is he someone special in your life? Boyfriend ?"

Oh God, why did she has to ask that?

But I wanted to hear it too. Though I knew that they love each other but I wanted her to deny that. I am getting confused.

Sandhya looked shocked for a minute and then she burst out laughing. Everyone was looking at her curiously,

" Boyfriend?? Oh, God !! No, he is my overprotective and over caring brother, Shubh. I am sick and tired of him treating me as a child. For god sake, I am 22 and he still treats me as if I am 2 or 4 years old."

WHAT ??? What ?? What ? Really ??? Wow!!! Great!!!

Shut up Vikram... are you 5 years old?

But my heart somersaulted in my chest.

" Hey, but he is so cute and handsome. You are so mean." Ruchika was saying.

Well yes, he is not that bad, cute actually. Most important thing is that he is her brother. Thank God !!

I was grinning like a fool. What is wrong with me? I was feeling miserable and wanted to break his teeth, just 5 mins back and right now I am feeling so elated that I can even hug him.

Aakash cut the cake and we enjoyed the party. I loved the party.

She called Shubh and he came within 15 mins. She introduced him to everyone.

He just took her away with him. But thank God !! He was her brother.

" You are looking like an idiot right now. Why are you grinning? This is getting very weird and awkward, Vikram. I can't face them. "

" Yes I can see that, I already suggested the solution. " I said

" Yes, you did, but it is not easy to find or have a girlfriend like this. "

" Hmm... "

Hey, that girl Sandhya is really beautiful. " Gautam said.

" Hmmm. "

" First you tell me, Why are behaving like this? When we came you looked, as if you were sulking and now it looks as if you just won a lottery."

" Hmmm," I nodded and hugged him while he punched me.

" Man you saw, that both Mehul and I got awkward today. We need to do something." he was irritated.

I hugged and said, " Don't worry everything will be alright. We would think of something."

We went to his place as he seemed to be very irritated.

All my interns were already waiting there near my cabin.l They greeted me and I smiled at them. We started our routine work and took our rounds. some of the new patients had come and the little boy was about to be discharged the very next day.

The moment he saw Sandhya he said, " Hello di, how are you? "

Sandhya ruffled his hair and said, " I am a good young boy how are you?"

" I am fine. So, do you remember your promise? "

" Yes, I do. "

" So, what did you get for me ?"

" I got fruit cake and corn cutlets for you." She smiled at him and he was really happy.

" But you can't give her all that heavy stuff," I told her.

" Trust me, sir, I can, as I know the ingredients. It is absolutely healthy. " She assured me.

" I may not be a dietician, but I know, it is not good. "

" I beg to differ, sir, I changed a few ingredients and it is absolutely healthy now. I have not fried the cutlets and it is only made up of corn and brown bread. I shallow fried them and the fruit cake is made up of whole wheat flour, bananas and a bit of honey so I have not added any refined flour or sugar or butter to it. is absolutely healthy. " She explained.

" Than it would not be tasty. He would not like it. "

" He would love it. "

She got both the dishes for the boy and he loved eating them.

This girl is something, she raised her eyebrow at me and I smiled and shook my head.

I could see Chirag and Ajay wanted to taste that. They said they also want to eat.

She said, " Ok, you can during the coffee break. "

I wanted to taste too, but I could not say that, like Chirag and Ajay.

They all were gathered for their coffee break. I was having one with Gautam on the very next table.

She brought two big boxes and placed them in the centre of the table. Everyone was started picking them up but she did not. She looked at me and when she saw that I was looking at her she looked away immediately.

" Hmm, both things are amazing. Why don't you go and offer these to Dr Vikram and his friend? " Her friend asked.

" They can come and take these. I don't want to go and offer them anything."

" But why? You don't want them to try these? "

" It is not like that, but I have my own reasons for not offering anything to eat. They can take if they want."

What are her reasons???

I wanted to taste anything she made. But her behaviour was a bit weird.

" Ok, you can't offer them, but I can. It is rude, not to offer them. " Ruchika said to her and came with both the boxes. It seemed that Sandhya wanted to say something but Ruchika was already here.

" Sir, please try these the healthy delicacies made by Sandhya. " I smiled at Ruchika and both Gautam and I took both the things. We tried and they were really good.

If she had not told about the fact that she replaced a few ingredients to make it healthy, I would not have believed it.

" Wow!! Amazing Ms Sandhya Both the things are mind-blowing." Gautam said to Sandhya and I nodded and smiled.

She smiled back at him and nodded.

" Sir, she is an amazing cook. You know that day she made Paneer bhurji and parantha, but she had two patients and she could not have lunch with us. We all missed the food. She knows that I love paneer bhurji made by her, so she got extra for me."

I looked at Sandhya, as that day, I had asked if she made it, and she had said that she didn't. Her face became white as if she saw a ghost.

Why did she lie to me? That day she sent coffee and sandwiches to me with Chirag and when he asked why didn't she gave that to me by herself, she said she had her reasons.

Today also she said ...she had reasons. I want to know her reasons. She smiles at everyone but me. She offers food to everyone but me.

Why??? What have I done to her?? I need to know that, but how?

After they all went to their work, Gautam stopped me and said, " What is the matter Vikram? You are behaving in a very different way, sometimes you are gloomy and after some time you are grinning like a fool. Right now, you are lost. Why did Sandhya say so?? Why are you tensed, since that girl Ruchika said something about Paneer bhurji? Even Sandhya looked very tensed the moment Ruchika said that."

" I don't know what is going on? I am confused as hell." I told him that incident Ruchika was talking about.

" Well, there must be some very good reason. Try and find out. "

" I will. "
