1 1- Pretty Lady
Nade first thought that the voice speaking to him and the others belonged to a normal dude.
Why would he even think otherwise?
But no, the huge headed, enormous eyed and skinny bodied shadowy being currently looking into his soul with its sickly green slitted-eyes was certainly not, what one would call a 'normal dude'.
A shudder immediatly soaking his skin in ice at the sight. Nade had the primordial urge to scream in utter fright and scramble away from whatever 'that' thing was. Yet he couldn't, realizing at his ever mounting distress that his body was locked in place and he could do nothing but think and stare back into those as big as his upper body souless eyes.
As if it sensed his inner turmoil, the being grinned. A huge cheshire grins full of pearly white, perfectly human teeth.
If he could have pissed himself, Nade was sure he would have right then.
After tiring from tormenting him. The monster turned away from him and began to point in random directions. At which Nade, even in his shocked like state of mind, guessed was people like him.
He wasn't alone in this nightmare at least.
"You, you, you, and all those behind you. You will all get a random chimeric bloodline."
The abomination pointed in another direction far from Nade. "You, you, you, and all those around you will become interesting monsters."
It repeated the process another time, but it seemed disinterested as it spoke again. "You and you, interesting golden fingers."
The being went at it for a time, a time Nade took to flush out the outside world and try to make sense of the situation.
Try being the word here. What sense was there to find in this place and situation?
Finally, Nade was forced out of his reclused mind as the monster suddenly chuckled mirthfully.
"And you ~ you lucky sod. Will get a part of the lady's power. Don't you find yourself blessed?"
Not receiving any answer, the being still grinned. "That's what I thought."
Nade, still blocked in place and forced to gaze straight at the monster. Felt his guts progressively freeze as the monster pointed at him and a couple of others.
"Finally, you last bunch will be granted a random and 'entertaining' system."
As if the words of the gangly humanoid were law, Nade felt something change within himself. Yet he still couldn't move.
"Now that's settled, you will be sent to a trial world corresponding to your blessing's power." The monster paced about his place, his movement unsightly because of his disproportionate limbs.
"Now, as we wouldn't want you to have toughts of betraying the Lady. She will present herself to you in all her majesty." The half shadow half something that-maybe-was-flesh entity explained out loud.
As if it had remembered something, the abomination clicked two of its fingers together. "Ah yeah, the Lady food. It's sou-"
A fracture in reality coming into existence, Nade and everyone else saw the Lady in all her 'Majesty'.
He didn't see much, as his mind simply shattered.

"AAAAAARGHHH!" Tearing at his face, Nade eyes bulged out of their sockets as he screamed his throat hoarse.
He stayed like that for a while before light slowly came back to his eyes. An unnatural cool sensation washing over his skull calming him down and allowing him to get his sanity back.
The problem was that it made him clearly remember what he saw of the Lady.
And strangely, it didn't affect him much after regaining his marbles.
"So this was all real uh?" A strange smile rising on his face, Nade laid there for a bit.
"I'm not dead. But maybe that would be better than whatever this is."
Seeing his breath coming out as mist, startingly sat up from his lying down position an took in his surrounding.
"A snowy forest? I hope I'm not far from civilisation." Nade inspected himself after inspecting the terrain and seeing nothing but snow and trees.
He was currently wearing something akin to a kimono with furs underneath, he was also happy to find that there was a bag with it's contents half emptied on the snow not far from him.
Promptly standing up, he picked up the bag and what he could salvage from the snow.
The bag in question only had some basic supply like dried meats, some clothes and some blankets. It even had an axe. But It seemed he would have to be creative for water.
As he was thinking about ways of securing himself waters, mainly hovering the idea of using the snow on the ground. He almost died of an heart attack right then and there as a 'ting' suddenly resounded in his head.

Flinching at the reply, Nade grumbled. "I wasn't speaking to you."

It wasn't healthy, but he chose to ignore the existential dread slowly creeping up on him and go with the flow of things.

And it doesn't seem half bad. Way better than becoming a monster." Cheering himself up, Nade stayed silent for a bit. Just contemplating the crazy ordeal he found himself in.
"That thing said that we would be sent to a trial world, so first thing first. I should find a town and check how's thing around here."
"That's if I don't get a quest, of course." Nade meaningfully said to nobody in particular.
"You know, it would be a shame if-"
Nade shut up as he heard a scream and the sound of struggle not far from where he was.
Hurrying up, he did what everyone else would do in this situation and rushed toward the sound.
It really wasn't far from where he was, and he soon arrived to witness a strange scene.
There was a furious and giant bloody looking girl sitting atop a boy and looking as if she was trying to bite his throat off. But she was kept at bay as the black and red haired youth was shoving the handle of his axe in her mouth and keeping it there with difficulty.
"No way." Nade was shaking, his eyes wide with horror. Not because he recognised who those two people were.
But because his wish had been granted.
He had received a quest.
