Chapter Two: Reunion

"Ruo Yan... "

Fang Yu, who was walking at the sidewalk, uttered under his breath. He was famished from all those job hunts but when she saw the woman that once dominated his life with happiness, in another man's arms in a certain business magazine's column, his almost spent up energy,  returned.

The woman was still beautiful and blooming like her spring years. The sixteen years that she wasn't at the father and son pair didn't much affect her unlike to the man's wrinkled face and gray hair.

Ruo Yan, an omega, at the age of twenty-one, married Fang Yu. She's one of the university's beauties and was once referred as the Xixi of the university. The same person was also the one that  fall in love with the smart and hardworking Fang Yu.

A/N: Xixi is one of the "Four Great Beauties of China".

This news made the bachelors of the B University lament while accepting their graduation certificates on that year and later, they were full of regrets because of their missed opportunity and it's just because Ruo Yan was not only an omega and a beauty! She was also the Ruo Clan's missing princess that they had been searching for years!

Yes, Ruo Yan was one of your typical shoujo heroines that got mixed with the society and while being unaware of her identity, she fell in love with a simple male lead despite of many love interests chasing under her skirt.

The information of her, being a member of Ruo Clan that was reknown in the whole country for being rich and powerful, was only revealed when she gave birth to Fang Xiu.

How can the Ruo Clan tolerate their princess be with a normal guy?! They really wanted the two to be apart! But when they heard that the rice has been already cooked, they decided to either consume or discard that rice! If it's can be use, they'll accept the Ruo Clan's blood flowing in that child's veins and if not, they'll resort to the former plan.

On that fateful day, while the husband coaxed the wife whilst returning home, they noticed a row of black clothed men at the entrance of their house and the rest of the story was history.

Behind them was a luxurious car. The black door opened and a man's shiny shoe came. The old man frowned when he saw the house's appearance. When he saw the woman beside Fang Yu, his lips curled as he strided towards them.

As if sensing the strangeness of this meeting, Fang Yu nudged his wife." Yan Er, Can you recognize this old man? "

The woman nodded at Fang Yu's question. She searched her memories where did she saw this man's face. It seems that a trace of enlightenment entered her as her eyes twinkled with excitement.

" Mr. Ruo... it's a delight to meet you here. You will not bother if this one will serve you tea, right? "

Ruo Yan courteously invited the Mr. Ruo inside their house. It was rumored that this Mr. Ruo of Ruo Clan was a rich and benovelent chairman that helps people that deserved it. It was also told that, Mr. Ruo picks one out of thousands of applications delivered to Ruo Foundation and the lucky family will not only have their children school tuition and expenses paid in the future, the couple will also be given a shop to support to their financial needs.This kind of benefits, who will not be tempted? It was akin to striking gold and winning a lottery!

Maybe, the application that she had once entered was picked out of the mountains of other applications.

Yes, Ruo Yan can't passed the chance of being this rich man's beneficiary. Their family's combined annual salary was not enough and with one additional member, their situation might turn dire. She can only hope that, she will be picked and it... happened.

She just only wondered why Mr. Ruo asked her dear son's sex.

The tea's calming fragrance floated in the air. The man, in his business suit elegantly sipped the tea. His chapped lips, which acquired moisture, slowly parted.

" Li Yue... where is she?"

Ruo Yan eyes widened in shock. It can't be that this man was talking about her deceased mom, right? And this tone of asking, it seemed that the old man was familiar with her mom.

" Mr. Ruo, what are you talking about? M-My mother's been dead six years ago..."

After hearing Ruo Yan, the old man's eyes reddened. His fingers trembled as he put the cup back at the table and his while being seemed suddenly pitiful.

" I- I.... Yan Er, how are you these years? Is your Dad still around?"

Ruo Yan met the old man's eyes with hers. As if sensing the sincerity of the old man's inquiry, she answered.

" Mr. Ruo, my Dad's happily with my Mom and please, don't rub salt in my wounds."

" What if your Dad is still alive? What if he...is in front of you, talking to you and wanted to be with you?"

Ruo Yan's whole body became stiff. She just smiled, sip some tea from her cup and simply closed her eyes as she savored its bitter taste.

She just can't believed that the Dad that venture at his business that  time didn't came after his business dealing. He was even reported to be missing and dead due to car crash when she was still a ten year old kid,was still alive.

The question of Mr. Ruo made Ruo Yan thought that, the old man's age is catching up to his thinking ability.

While Ruo Yan contemplated, Mr. Ruo gave orders to the man outside to get the things in the car.

After a moment, a bunch of things appeared at the table. It composed of a brown envelope,a purse, a pendant necklace, an outdated phone and a mother-daughter photo.

" Mr. Ruo,what are these things? "

" You can look at them, my dear."

Mr. Ruo's voice was tinged with excitement when Ruo Yan started to inspect the items.

" Why d-did you have these things, Mr. Ruo? "

Ruo Yan's hand was trembling as she waved the pendant necklace at Mr. Ruo's face. If she's not wrong, her mother had the same necklace at her neck that's been circling around het for years!

" My wife gave it to me. That photo over there was... my wife and my dearest daughter.

I really loved them but on the way to our home from work, I met an accident. Luckily, a rich family helped me regain my strength but I lost all my memories except of my name.

That time, I thought I was a single man and I slowly fell inlove to the daughter of my savior's family. We happily married and in a year after our marriage, she conceived a child and I feel blessed .

One day, my father-in-law gave me some stocks to play with. Maybe it's because he noticed that I'm very skilled in managing money in which my current wife greatly supported, the bussiness as you see, bloomed."

Mr. Ruo voice was very calm like he was just telling a story but it quickly made a huge turn.

" On a certain day while I'm rummaging  our closet to find something, I saw a necklace.I confronted my present wife, she said that I had it on me when they found me.

My head deeply hurt and memories slowly resurfaced. I staggered and nearly fall but she did her best to hold me until I faint.

I hurriedly searched for you after woke up and decided to divorce her but I don't want our child to grow without a father, he's only three years old so through the years, I tried to search for you through this sponsorship program. Maybe Li Yue will grasp the chance to be pick. "

Mr. Ruo calmly explained the things at the table. He reached out for the envelope, opened it and a bunch of legal documents emerged from it's opening.

" This is your mom and I's marriage certificate, my medical records of the accident and a DNA test confirming that you are indeed my daughter. "

With a smiling face, Mr. Ruo continued, " Ruo Yan, the daughter that I'm talking all about is you."

" A-Are you for r-real?! "

Ruo Yan stood at her chair. Due to the sudden outburst, the man beside her, cherishly hugged his son at his bossom, afraid that the action might wake up him.

Ruo Yan remained standing for a moment. She embarassingly sat again when her calm returned to her.

The two men didn't know that when Ruo Yan was standing, her mind had already arrived in many twist and turns.

He's a Ruo! That Ruo!

She only thought that the man's name was only a coincidence with his dad's when she heard the interview about him but who could have thought that...

It's only a pity that her dear mother didn't saw her husband at her deathbed six years ago.

" Dad!!! Is that really you?! After 15 years..."

" Yan Er, Dad will never leave you from now on. "

The woman sobbed. When she regained her senses, she continued.

" Dad, He's Fang Yu. He's my husband. And the baby at his arms is our son. It' your grandson, Dad. "

Mr. Ruo looked at Fang Yu. He scrutinized the handsome face and with a gentle nod, said,

"Young man, I'm Yan Er's father."

Fang Yu was shocked of the sudden turn of events and to the emergence of his "dead" father-in-law. The man was dignified despite of his age. His phoenix eyes was gazing at him then, towards his cute son.

" Is he an alpha? "

Fang Yu gently held the baby at his arms. He looked at his father-in-law and with a hint of pride said,

" He's a healthy baby boy. He may not be an alpha or an omega but, we'll still love and take care of him with the best that we can."

The next scene was the thing that you can't expect.

" Good. You know what to do."

Ruo Tian looked at the men beside him. With a knowing gaze directed to the men, he noticed the leader nodded his head in accompliance that he, had received the order.

Ruo Tian exited the house and entered the car. He fleetingly looked at his daughter and silently counted one to ten. He glanced at his wrist watch and noticed that it's already half past six in the evening. It's still early. His mother will surely be happy that her dear baby granddaughter will be back soon.
