3 Autralia

[APRIL 14, 2015]

"Astrid! What's taking you so long?" Peter yelled from the living room of the hotel room we were staying at.

"Just a moment!" I yelled back. I was getting my make up done. The mascara got on my skin when I blinked and I was trying to get it off. I quickly got out of the room after I finished.

"Sorry, shall we go?" Peter stood up and we left the room.

When we arrived at the lounge area, the rain started pouring hard. We stood there dumbstruck.

"Come on," I heard Peter said softly and sighed. Disappointment and slightly annoyance was evident in his voice. I bit my lip and felt guilty. We might not be able to continue this trip because of me. If only I became careful, then I would've finished my make-up sooner. Or if only I've decided not to wear any, then we could've started this trip already.

I felt his hand touch mine and he turned me to face him.

"Hey, it's not your fault. I guess we just picked a wrong time to go. I guess we should've checked the weather first."

"But-"

"No, don't even try. I know what you're gonna say. You're just going to blame yourself. And I'm telling you, it's not your fault." He paused for a moment and waited if I will say anything. I remained silent. "What do you say? Let's go back to our room, eat breakfast, and just chill first 'till the rain stops, hm?"

I really felt bad, but his idea also sounded good apart from our supposed trip. I nodded at him and we went back to our hotel room. Peter heated some water and made some hot chocolate. We ordered some food and watched the television while waiting for the rain to stop.

Thr rain lasted for a few hours and it was before lunch when the it stopped. We quickly went our ways to continue our trip. We went to Sydney Opera House first.

There were a lot of people that time despite the fact that it just rained. He took my photo but as I was about to take his, he grabbed my hand and we started to walk away.

"But I haven't taken your photo yet,"

"It's fine, we'll come back later, at the evening when there's a few people" Peter said as we continue to walk away.

"What?" I said with a laugh.

"Well, I actually want to get closer and go inside. And also, there's a lot of people, it's crowded inside and outside. Come on, let's take a look around" Peter said with a chuckle.

This person really has a habit of avoiding people. He doesn't like a crowd that much and I find it weird, but also cute at the same time.

We enjoyed the windy air while looking for a place to eat lunch. We spent almost the whole day eating while waiting for time to passed by so we can go back at the Opera House.

We went to Bondi beach. Though it rained that day, the beach was completely calm. We bought a blanket so we could sit down at the sand near the sea. We sat down and ate (again, which was like the third time for that day) while enjoying the fresh and salty air coming from the sea. I laid my head on his shoulder and he started singing.

"Look at the stars

Look how they shine for you

And everything you do

They were all yellow

I came along

I wrote a song for you

And all the things you do

And it was called 'Yellow'

So then I took my turn

Oh what a thing to have done

And it was all yellow

Your skin

Oh yeah your skin and bones

Turn into something beautiful

Do you know

You know I love you so

You know I love you so~

Look at the stars

Look how they shine for you

And all the things you do~"

His voice brought calmness upon me and I felt my eyelids getting heavy, and slowly, I felt them close. I realized that I fell asleep for quite some time when I opened my eyes and saw that the sun was about to go down. Peter smiled at my sleepy face.

"Feel better? Now that I realized, you looked really tired earlier." Peter smiled at me.

I smiled and nodded softly at him. He carressed my hair and just smiled at me.

"How come you're so beautiful?"

I chuckled at his remark at punched him playfully.

"Come, let's buy a hot drink first before going back." He helped me up. He never let go of my hand and put it in the pockets of his coat. I snuggled closer to him.

We rode back and trip was really peaceful. The night was cold and the wind was chilly. I pulled down the window at the passenger side and breathed in the fresh summer air. Peter decided to turn off the air conditioner and pulled down the hood of the car. Even though it was a cold night, it felt good.

We found a new place just some few walks away from the Opera House. After buying some hot drinks, we continued our way as the night gets deeper. Only few people were there when we arrived. I took his photo and we decided to take a look inside. It looks like a performance just finished and the people were busy cleaning up the place.

We quickly went back to the hotel after. We spent the rest of the night cuddling each other, chilling and watching some movies. When we got bored from watching the television, we read some books and ate again. Reviewed the photos we took and updated our social medi accounts. Then he suggested that we watch a new series. I really enjoy these kind of simple moments with him because it always feels the most special.
