1 Chapter 1 The School Was Almost Over

It was a sunny Friday afternoon at Phoenix High. The students fixed their stuffs before they headed homes. "Hey Elle," an average in height with round body-built and a wavy hair, approached her seat after class. "Hi Andrew, what's up?" she responded with a sweet smile on her pretty angelic face. "Let's go to the mall afterwards," Andrew suggested. "No problem, Drew. Since no more classes, school is over and it is time to unwind," she said cheerfully. " Alright then, Elle," Andrew agreed, giving her a high-five. She responded and said, "Let's go. I'm hungry!"

They both got out of the room, headed downstairs towards the parking lot across the field. "Leave your car here. We'll use mine," Andrew commanded. "I'll drive you back here once we're done at the mall," he added. She smiled at him as she hopped in his blue Honda Civic car. She put on her seatbelt as Andrew started the engine of his car. "Drive moderately," Elle blurted out as she glanced herself on her pocket mirror. "Yes Madame!" he agreed with a salute. Elle just smiled broadly. Andrew drove along the highway and he parked on the rooftop of Cherry Mall. "At last! Here we are again after busy weeks in school!" Elle said with a sigh. She took off her seatbelt and hopped out of the car.

They entered the mall together. Andrew Jones and Elle Smith are best friends since First Grade. As they reached Tenth Grade, mostly their new classmates thought they were more than friends. But all of their old classmates knew they were best friends. They would hang out together throughout their growing up years. They were both into music, all sorts of genres. Elle was into books and a Columnist in Phoenix Chronicle. Andrew engaged himself into Arts and also a Pitcher of the Phoenix High Baseball Team. Both of them were consistently included in the Highest Rankings in Academics since First Grade. Elle was a candidate for Valedictorian two weeks from now. Andrew was a Salutatorian. And both of them were excited for their upcoming Graduation. For their college life, they would enroll themselves to Phoenix University, annexed to Phoenix High. It has been coming up so soon. Both were thrilled with nervousness. They knew how difficult and stressful college life is. But they crossed fingers on that, hoping college would be happier and making them more mature, responsible and smart students, it's their key to a beautiful and prosperous future.
