77 76. Banished

RuQian was finally able to enter the inner circle where she saw a red faced Wan Wan with Lu Xu Mei standing in a face off with Lan Xie and Amy. Lu Xu Mei and Chang Min looked like they were watching an entertainment show while Lan Xie was peering at Wan Wan with a mocking gaze. Wan Wan on the other hand was screeching her head off noticing the mocking gaze Lan Xie had thrown at her.

Lan Xie shook her head disappointedly, she had thought Wan Wan was a worthy opponent but Lan Xie did not know that she was such an idiot. Who would make such a huge commotion when all the elders were still in the room. After the party started and everyone had a chance to speak to RuQian, all the business men and women would have left to another room to discuss and talk about deals, contracts and whatnot. The other high society women would have gone a separate way to talk about other stuff. Wan Wan could only be moron to make a racket when everyone was present.

Lan Xie still thought she could do this later but she would just have to crush Wan Wan now. Lan Xie smirked evilly while thinking about this. RuQian saw her friend's smirk and decided to just stay out of it and left to greet other businessmen. She had to build connections, not just as Zhang Wennai's granddaughter but also as a future businesswoman. She had seen some of the good business owners earlier while scanning the room. She was going to avoid the chauvinistic male pigs and was going to build some good connections with the others. She had already met an awesome businesswoman.

The crowd wondered why RuQian was just leaving without saying anything but they were quickly distracted with Wan Wan's allegations. Most of them had seen what had happened. After Old master Zhang and RuQian had stepped down from the stage, Wan Wan had purposely walked into Lan Xie who had gone to the bar to get a drink. Then Wan Wan had started shouting at Lan Xie for pushing her. Some of the girl's couldn't even hold in their chuckles.

"I know that you're just jealous of me, that's why you wanted to ruin my expensive dress. Let me tell you, this dress is so expensive that you can't even afford to pay me if you ruin it." Wan Wan kept spouting nonsense not noticing everyone around her laughing at her joke.

Lan Xie not being able to afford a cheap dress Wan Wan was wearing? The Lan princess who could buy all the clothes in all the stores in their city with just a flick of her finger, couldn't afford a cheap dress Wan Wan wore? They snickered at the thought of it. The commotion attracted the high society ladies and some of the gossip loving businessmen. When they saw it was the Lan princess who was being belittled, they stayed to watch the show that was going to unfold later when the princess destroyed this commoner.

"Who the hell do you think you are? You are not even qualified to be my servant and you dared to touch me?" Wan Wan continued on with her monologue. A man rushed into the crowd suddenly and pulled Wan Wan back to stop her making more mistakes. "What the.. leave me. Daddy? What are you doing?"

"Wan Wan what are you doing?" Her father's eyes widened in shock when he saw whom his daughter was shouting at.

"What do you mean what I am doing? I am teaching this bitch a lesson. She thinks she can bump into me. Look, you bitch. Let's see if you can act out in front of my father. He can crush you if he wants to. Now get down on your knees and apologize to me or else I'll make your family disappear from this city. Now get down!"

"Is that so? You'll make my family disappear?" Lan Xie smirked coldly staring at Wan Wan's father. Everyone around them felt the chills when they heard Lan Xie's cold voice.

"N.. no" Wan Wan did not let her father finish. "Yes, do you even know how big Xie Pharmaceuticals are? My father owns that company. Hmph!" Wan Wan turned her nose up arrogantly.

"Oh? You own Xie Pharmaceuticals? Why did I never hear of this?" Lan Xie questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Did you all know that this... hmm, whoever this man is, owned my company?" Lan Xie questioned the people around her.

"No we didn't know."

"Haha we have never even seen this man's face."

"I know right, they look like beggars."

"How daring does he have to be to claim Lan Xie's company as his own?"

"I know, no one has ever dared to do something like this before and that too in the presence of the Lan princess herself."

"What nonsense are all of you spouting? You are all idiots. You don't know anything. You all are the beggars!" Wan Wan was about to jump into the crowd and she would've scratched some of the people around her if her father was not holding her by the waist to stop her. In between all the screeching and shrieking, a calm voice spoke.

"You're fired! You don't have to go to the company to retrieve your items, they will be sent back to your home with tickets for you family. You can leave in the morning." Lan Xie calmly smiled while staring at Wan Wan's father who was shaking in his shoes. Wan Wan calmed down hearing this, she turned to her father who was pale and his hands were trembling uncontrollably. He fell down on his knees as if struck by a huge force.

"Young miss I apologize for my daughter's behaviour. She doesn't know what she is talking about. I.. it was my fault. I didn't raise her properly. I need this job young miss. Please have mercy."

"Daddy what are you doing? This bitch can't do anything. She is just.."

"Shut up. You don't even know who you are talking to." Wan Wan's father pulled her down to her knees with him. "Please let us stay in the country young miss." He tried to plead.

"I am already showing mercy by letting you leave this country and sending you in the morning. You can stay here if you want. After my father finds out what happened here you might not get to leave the country even if you want to. *Sigh* You can stay if you want." Lan Xie lazily replied checking her nails.

"No no young miss. Thank you for the mercy. We will be taking our leave then." Wan Wan's father started to pull her away from the crowd while bowing deeply at Lan Xie.

This wasn't the first time these crowd of people had seen the Lan princess destroying someone or banishing a family. In fact it looked like she was being lenient on them.

"Guards!"

Nevermind, she wasn't being lenient.

Lan Xie smiled when she saw the frozen figure of Wan Wan's father. "You should stay. After all I can't just let you leave yet." Lan Xie turned to her guards. "Two of you keep an eye on them. They can't leave until I say so." She smirked and left to get her drink.

Wan Wan did not understand what was happening and quietly sat in a corner of the room listening to her father's explanation of Lan Xie's family. She shuddered after finding out how big of a mistake she had made. She glanced at the mocking gazes directed towards her. She had not only offended Lan Xie but many others with her earlier outburst. She was outraged when she saw Lu Xu Mei's innocent face mingling around along with Chang Min. That bitch definitely knew but she never said anything. Her fists balled up in anger but she couldn't do anything.

Lan Xie had purposely allowed Wan Wan to stay because she knew what her RuQian had planned for the night. If Lu Xu Mei minded her own business then nothing would happen but if she tried something fishy, well Wan Wan would be of help. Lan Xie smiled quietly drinking her juice. Amy shook her head amused at Lan Xie's expression. No wonder RuQian had left them alone earlier, she knew Lan Xie could take care of herself.
