7 7. New Goal

As Su RuQian looked out the window, onto her left she spotted three familiar figures, on the other side of the road. It was a little distance from the school entrance gate so maybe they thought no one would see them. As the car was moving away RuQian hurriedly shouted "Stop the car!"

As the car screeched to a stop, RuQian observed the three figures through the side view mirror so as not to alert the three happy people, one a little old and two young figures. Because RuQian was fixated on the mirror Ren Wei was able to catch her stare and turned towards the mirror and gasped when he saw who it was. Su Ting stood by the side of a car as he was talking to a boy who seemed to be of a similar age to the young miss and holding Su Ting's arm was that illegitimate child of his, Lu Xu Mei.

Just as he thought the young miss would barge out of the car to deal with that Su Ting, he heard the young miss's calm voice, "Let's go."

"Yes, Young miss." The driver started the car again and they continued on as if nothing happened.

"RuQian, why did you tell them to stop the car?" Lan Xie innocently asked.

"Nothing I thought I forgot my phone."

"Oh. Do you have it with you then?"

"Yes I remembered I put it in my bag."

Ren Wei was shocked to see her calm and collected behaviour which was a first. Just as he was about to say something he caught Su RuQian's deathly glare and shut his mouth at once. His back started sweating and in just a few seconds the back of his shirt was drenched in sweat. He had been working for the old master for a decade now, how did this little girl's glare seem way more deathly than his old master's?

As Ren Wei kept pondering about the sudden change in Su RuQian's behaviour, RuQian was thinking about what she had just witnessed. So Chang Min did not just know Lu Xu Mei from the start but it looked like he also knew about her relation with Su Ting. So they all knew everything from the start and she was just a puppet who acted according to the strings pulled by them. How much more was she not aware of? This was not a good deal. In her past life the only skills she possessed were those of business. Even if she was given a company which was suffering tons of losses she could turn it around and make sure the company made profits.

But these skills were not helpful to uncover other's dirty secrets. She could not ask anyone else for help as she was still young and she didn't have any connections. She could ask her grandfather but she wanted to deal with all these people on her own because she was the one who trusted them in the first place.

That's when Su RuQian decided that she would hone her skillset properly and become a formidable enemy whom no one would dare cross!

After dropping Lan Xie off at her house, the car turned towards the Su house. That was where she stayed until she graduated from high school. She never knew the person whom she craved love from was a snake and he wore the skin of a father. The Su mansion was nothing over the top like her grandfather's mansion. This was just a two storey place with three bedrooms. She still didn't understand what she saw in this place.

Just as the car stopped outside the Su mansion, RuQian looked out at the cold house which once contained her mother's beautiful voice that resounded through those cold hallways. When Ren Wei opened the door for her, she turned towards him and told him to wait there for five minutes and rushed into the house.

After she entered the house she saw how boring it was. She couldn't believe she fought with her grandfather to stay here. She quickly entered her room and packed up her belongings. Her mother left her a lot of jewellery, shares from both Su Conglomerate and Zhang tech which she would gain once she was of age and a few other important boxes all which she left at the Zhang mansion in her room which was locked and wouldn't be opened to her until she was of age. Thinking about it now RuQian understood that her mother didn't want Su Ting to get his hands on the shares or money or any other important items. Her mother was always vary of Su Ting, maybe because her mother knew of his true colours and didn't want her to suffer in any way.

She packed up everything, not even leaving a single paper behind and rushed downstairs. She then saw Ren Wei waiting for her outside the gate with a confused expression. As soon as he saw her tugging two huge suitcase boxes, he rushed towards her. He then took both the boxes and placed them in the boot and then hurried into the car.

"Zhang Mansion." RuQian ordered the driver and immediately closed her eyes not wanting to talk anymore.

"Yes, young miss." The driver started the car and soon the car was speeding through the highway towards the older part of the imperial city where most of the rich ancestral homes were located in. Ren Wei had a lot of questions at the tip of his tongue but seeing that the young miss was not interested in any discussions, he could only wait till old master arrived.

As the sun kissed the earth and the moon was showing on the opposite side, the car arrived at the Zhang mansion's gates.

Here is to a new beginning RuQian! She told herself.
