308 Arthur's Warm Welcome

Arthur ran up the stairs to the Squad Six Common room faster than he'd ever done so, his heart nearly bursting out of his chest.

Halfway up, he stopped for a breather, cursed the bronze cuffs on his hands, and then continued his sprint up the tall tower.

'I think we can agree that your excitement is more deadly than your cuffs right now,' Arthur's phoenix rolled its eyes.

It wasn't long before he set his eyes on the large double doors, then stopped to catch his breath. Arthur's phoenix eyesight easily cut through the dimly lit hallway to crest the symbol carved into the doors.

The insignia of Squad Six had once bothered Arthur… but now, he knew what it meant. He'd seen this creature so many times by now, touched it and even bonded with it.

Squad Six's insignia was a benevolent Solaris Wyrm, captured in its magnificent glory mid-flight.
