69 Sorry

Lady Ru Yin couldn't hold her tears in and began crying once again.

It has been a long time since someone has shown any genuine care towards her. She almost forgot how it was like to be cared for. This young lady made her see the brighter side of the world again.

She only cried silently whilst looking ahead. Just having a friend right beside her was a gift in itself.

Mi Rong sat there silently. She too looked ahead. The night was still young; it hadn't turned to its' darkest yet.

It had been a while before Lady Ru Yin could recollect herself.

"Phew, I just had to take that out. Hm, what is your name? You actually look quite familiar, have we met before?" Lady Ru Yin remembered that they had yet to say their introductions, but at the same time, she felt like she had seen this young lady before.

Mi Rong didn't think much and casually replied, "Oh, you can call me Mi Rong."

"Mi Rong, Mi Rong, hm what a nice name indeed. Sigh. It's nice being young."

Mi Rong faintly chuckled. Maybe young shouldn't be titled next to her anymore.

"It gets harder when you're older. You'll have to carry many more weights on your shoulders."

Whilst Mi Rong was silently listening to the middle age lady beside her; she would slightly nod as she couldn't agree any lesser. The lady seemed like she had quite a few things on her mind that she wanted to take out.

"You know, I really don't understand men. What goes on their minds!? Why can't they just choose something?" Lady Ru Yin ranted out.

Again, Mi Rong chuckled as it made her think of someone.

What was really going on that guy's head? What was he even thinking when he asked her for a dance. Was he bored that he was now messing with her?

Lady Ru Yin turned her head to see Mi Rong laugh. She also smiled, "You also feel the same huh?"

Mi Rong couldn't help but giggle, "Keke, perfectly on point there."

"Sigh. Well, you see, I and my husband, we only got married because of the family connection. There was never any love, to begin with. However, as time passed I couldn't help but be stupid and fall for him."

Hearing her story, Mi Rong couldn't help but gasp slightly. This kind of thing still happens till now!?

Wow.

"He…he already had a lover. However, they had to break up because of me. Nevertheless, it didn't stop them from seeing each other." Lady Ru Yin paused.

"Then, she had an accident and could not see anymore. He thought I had done it. Ha! Well, he had turned a blind eye when she nearly killed my son because of her eyes."

Such a cruel woman. Wow, jealousy really kills someone.

"Now, he's taking care of her like an egg. So, delicate. Hmph!"

Hearing the story up until now made Mi Rong wonder, why didn't she leave her husband.

If it was her; she wouldn't definitely cut ties with him. No matter how important the connection was, if he destroyed her dignity then she would definitely leave.

"Um, sorry for having to ask this, but why don't you just leave him. Leave him with your son and start a new?"

"If it was easy like that then it would have been nice. I just seem to can't do it. The only reason I'm still with him is because of my son. I need to see him succeed first, then I'll consider that. I might be his only support."

Heh? What a spoiled son. "Look, my lady, uh, how am I supposed to appropriately address you?"

Lady Ru Yin gave a small laugh, "Just call me aunty."

Oh, it was simpler than she had thought, "Alright, aunty, your son must have already grown up this much, shouldn't you leave him to finally spread his wings?"

Lady Ru Yin could hear the slight ridicule in Mi Rong's voice, "Hm, you seem to know quite a lot in your young age?"

"Well, you know, I think you should at least let him do it by himself." Mi Rong took a step back and voiced out her reason.

Lady Ru Yin then took a deep breath, "The undercurrents are never still."

No matter how Mi Rong seemed to try, it looked like the lady was quite stubborn.

I guess it must have been a slight trauma for her as she nearly lost her son. That's why she was shielding him like a mother hen. Then, again it looks like she loved her husband too much to leave him, well not just yet.

Maybe if she could help push her slightly…

As the conversation was going on between the two women, right behind the wall there was another person listening closing.

A drop of tear fell from his face.

He could only blame himself for making his mother this miserable.

Mother, I'm sorry, just wait a little bit. This son will surely punish that man for everything.
