20 Pain

At the hospital. Although Lin Cheng drove as fast as he could, they still got held up with the traffic and only arrive at the hospital an hour later.

His boss was sitting at the back and had been quiet the whole time. Lin Cheng could slightly guess what had happened as he knew both his boss and young master Feng Min well. The only fight the two would initiate would be about our madam. From time to time, Lin Cheng would check in his rear mirror on his boss; however, he was also finding ways to head fast back to the hospital.

"Sir, we've arrived."

"Hm." But no movements came from Jun Kai.

Thus, Lin Cheng worriedly looked back and was shocked. Blood had been excessively running out of his boss' wound like a waterfall. He hadn't seen that Jun Kai's condition was this bad. The reason was that the blood was all soaked onto Jun Kai's black suit. From the rear mirror, blood could not be clearly seen, but when Lin Cheng looked back, there was blood all over the seat. His boss' face was getting paler and paler and he could hardly hear his boss' breathing. There was no time to waste, hence, he hastily got out from the driver's seat and carefully pulled him out of the back seat. He had driven to the VIP zone and called for help.

Some of the bodyguards were already waiting for them to arrive and they came to support Lin Cheng, "Sir Lin, where should we take the boss. If the media knows, it wouldn't be good for the Feng family."

Lin Cheng took some careful thoughts and made a decision, "Call Miss Mi Rong and take her to the private room that boss book the other day, let her wait there." They couldn't risk their boss' life or their boss' reputation. He had done some background research on miss Mi Rong and she was one of the talented nurses in this hospital. People had said that she could be equivalent to a doctor if she signed herself up for one.

"Yes, sir Lin."

Everything was done speedily as they couldn't waste any second. Mi Rong who had been sleeping was awoken by one of the bodyguards.

"Miss Mi Rong, we need your help. Someone's badly injured." The bodyguard looked around as if afraid anyone would know.

She was blurry at first, but when she heard someone was injured, her eyes automatically woke up, "What? Who?"

"Please come first." The bodyguard knew that they must keep things as quiet as they could, hence, he kept it a secret for now and wanted to quickly take Miss Mi Rong to wait for their boss as fast as they could.

Mi Rong could sense that it must be someone very important, but she would meet that person soon, so she didn't press on the subject, "Wait! What's the patient's injury, I'll need to prepare the equipment accordingly."

"Uh, it's a gunshot."

"Oh." She wasn't unfamiliar with a gunshot, but who could've been hurt?

"Miss, please hurry. The patient could die any soon."

"Coming." Sigh, this bodyguard was shrieking like a mouse. She had only got up and was taking her bag which luckily had everything she needed to heel this patient. The guard watched Mi Rong shakingly.

They both quietly got out from Mi Rong's patient room and hastily ran to her 'patient'. Although the bodyguard was running fast, Mi Rong was still able to easily catch up. However, it didn't alert the bodyguard as his mind was still thinking over about his boss.

...

The two arrived at one of the surgery rooms in the hospital.

When the door was open once again, everyone inside looked towards the door. Once everyone saw who had arrived, their eyes lit up and felt slightly relieved. Mi Rong who had got put on a nurse's cover along the way was ready for the surgery. She walked in with the bodyguard that came to fetch her.

Everyone who had carried Jun Kai to the room had all been anxiously waiting for Mi Rong to come in. They were also a little stunned with Mi Rong's looks as she dressed up just like a doctor. The charisma she had was no different than a doctor or was it because of her title, being the right hand of the doctor in charge. Even her air was different, if they didn't know she was a nurse, they would've mistaken her as a doctor. She looked dignified and had a scholar air emitting out from her. Then again, she was a doctor in her past life.

"Miss Mi Rong, we need your help, please treat our boss' wound." It was Lin Cheng who regained his conscious before others.

"Hm, I know. First, you guys all get out. I need to concentrate." Mi Rong was washing her hands and was putting on her surgery gloves as she spoke.

"But..."

Mi Rong cut Lin Cheng off and said, "Time is running out." Her glare was rather fierce.

However, Lin Cheng couldn't risk any more time, "I understand. Everyone, let's go out." All of Jun Kai's men had to leave with their order.

After everyone left, Mi Rong took out her tools and laid them out neatly beside Jun Kai. She steadily applied needles to Jun Kai's acupuncture points to stop the excessive bleeding. However, if you take a closer look, the needles didn't look like any other ordinary ones from modern day. The other end of needles were shaped into delicate dragon figures. Moreover, the needles themselves seemed to be emitting some kind of mystical power.

Mi Rong had especially got them from her master. Back then, her master was like a God Doctor. The needles were specially made for her, it had many specialties. It could be a deadly weapon or a miracle life saver. She had kept it with her at all times. Coming to modern day, Mi Rong had especially inserted an everlasting herb from Xiao Bai which also happened to have two qualities. To kill or to save a person depending on Mi Rong's mind if she wanted to save a person or not. This plant was a living plant and could read it's master's mind if it had made a contract with the master.

This was also one of the reasons why Mi Rong didn't want anyone to be with her while she was curing Jun Kai. Her methods were not from this era and it would definitely arouse suspicion. Mi Rong then took out some of the modern era tools; scalpels, forceps and more. She had combined her knowledge and what she learned from this era to hers. From observing the doctors who she had been assisting them during surgeries, Mi Rong was able to visibly learn and memorize their actions and she would practice them after different surgeries. Where there were flaws, she would correct them and adapt it with her knowledge.

The knowledge she learned had been a great help to her when she was also shot from these so-called guns as well. This was when she had been searching for the spell book, and would from time to time encounter disturbance.

Slowly, she took out the bullet and sprinkled some of her own medicine which she had made especially for gunshot wounds. Then, she cautiously put a gauze over to cover the wound.

However, while Mi Rong was sprinkling her medicine, Jun Kai was slowly awakening from his slumber. The medicine had stung so badly, that he woke up from it. Jun Kai himself had a high tolerance with pain; however, this was the first time he couldn't emotionally bear it.

It hurted!
