71 Following His Steps

When his mother had left and there was no longer any shadows of her, Jun Kai finally thought he should probably go out to bring the other stubborn person back. However, when he turned back to face her, he could see her gazing at the stars.

He too looked up towards the night sky.

It was just like any other nights, but it seemed she really loved it. His eyes that had been at the stars were unconsciously now looking at her.

He felt slightly confused like he was seeing things and another body was in hers. There was like two different bodies that were merged together.

However, how could that be? His feet took a few steps forward and not long, she turned her eyes to him.

Their eyes met.

He didn't go any further and just stood there.

For a moment they only looked at each other's eyes. Both captivated by their own thoughts.

Mi Rong didn't look like she was going to initiate to speak to him as she was only looking at him with her deer like eyes. As if waiting for him.

Sigh, "Let's go back now, shall we."

Mi Rong then smiled, pleased with him and she simply answered, "Yes."

Seeing Mi Rong finally standing up to her full height, Jun Kai coldly turned around without waiting for her.

Tsk, tsk such a temper.

However, there should be some points to him for coming to fetch her. Maybe she should go easy on him for her auction. Thinking about her plans, Mi Rong could not help but grin.

At least, he didn't leave her.

When the pair arrived at the main hall again, there were lesser people.

Some must have already left as there was no more news to be announced. Nevertheless, it was already quite shocking for everyone and would take time for all of them to digest it down.

Young master Jun Kai could become their boss in a few months time.

Mi Rong had been walking behind Jun Kai the whole way, not too far and not too close. She made sure that there was some distance between them as she did not want any more trouble knocking own her door.

On the other hand, Jun Kai was walking slower than usual. There was still some numbness from Mi Rong's high heels.

However, the pain was not so much as he was actually waiting for the person behind him. He didn't want her to be too far behind as he didn't want it to be like the last time. The next thing you know there might be an annoying bug clinging next to her.

Nevertheless, above the pair who were walking up the stairs, there were two watchful eyes staring at them hatefully. One was eyeing directly at Mi Rong and the other was eyeing at Jun Kai.

As Mi Rong approached the side stairs, she saw three people covered in blankets hurrying down the main stairs. When she looked closer, it was the three boys that she had met earlier.

Mi Rong couldn't help but giggle at what had happened to them. They must have been through such injustice that they were all covered up.

However, there seemed to be some fresh meat underneath those covers hehe. The trio heard a faint giggle and could not help but turn around to the noise.

They all saw Mi Rong and their expressions turned dark. Mi Rong lifted her hand to cover her mouth; however, her eyes were openly teasing them.

The three had never felt any more embarrassed in their life. She was just only a woman! They really had underestimated her.

The three all had an urge to confront Mi Rong. However, as they were about to step closer, a fierce glare was sent to them.

The person in front of Mi Rong had sensed that Mi Rong stopped in her tracks and was not following him any longer, so he had to turn around. It turns out she was actually messing around. He had to step in and stop before it got messier.

The trio saw Jun Kai approaching in the corner and when they saw his eyes, they all shivered and hurriedly walked away. It was as if they saw their worst enemy.

Jun Kai couldn't help but pull Mi Rong by the arm to get her attention from the three insects.

Mi Rong was not in time to avoid Jun Kai and could only tiredly let him pull her arm.

She rolled her eyes and lost interest in even walking. He was acting like how a parent would to their child.

She was not a kid, ugh!
