The snakes made a strange rattle sound from the depths of their throat. Their rattling covered the entire swamp area like a sweet melody.

Yet, it was if they were calling for their competitor to face them.

Hui Lan's brows were creased as they weren't specifically speaking anything. She listened to the rattling sound carefully, but without realizing, she was walking closer towards their sound like it was calling for her.

If it weren't for young master Hei, who had held onto her, she would have continued walking towards the snakes.

"Young lady Hong?" Young master Hei's distant voice rang inside her mind.

Hui Lan blinked, "Huh?"

This time, young master Hei's sword-like brows became furrowed.

…Did something happen to her?
