206 Hunt and Hunted (V)

"...those little brats! Since when did they have a transportation power!? I better-" but the voice was cut off as Hui Lan's consciousness slipped away and her eyes were slowly closed.

Amid everything, Yue and Hun flung their eyes open. The first thing they did upon opening their eyes was to gasp for fresh air after having felt such immense pain for the first time in their entire life. 

It was a pain that they couldn't explain with words, but it was almost as someone was pulling something from within them apart from them.

The two slowly searched for each other as if they were scared that something else had been cut off as well. Only when they saw each other, they were able to feel relieved.

But their relief wasn't there for long.

Remembering what had just happened, the pair didn't stay down and immediately got up. Their large crystal eyes swept around the area in front of them before looking behind them.
