266 Dragon’s Scale (IX)

Three days passed by faster than lightning.

"Are you ready?" Young master Hei asked the person who had just finished packing her bag. He couldn't help but wonder how she could fit all the things she showed to him that she was going to bring in that one bag.

Hui Lan swung her handmade backpack around her and turned around, "More than ever." She then took a step forward and pulled his wrist towards her before checking his pulse one last time. Her eyes were closed as she listened to it carefully.

Young master Hei was already used to her doing this for the past three days.

She would come up to him and would just pull his wrist like this. 

He kept his eyes on her face while she listened to his heartbeat silently unlike their first few times where he felt awkward and didn't know where to look. From time to time, her soft brows would tighten before it would loosen up again.
