New Land, New Base

-----Fury POV----

It's been four months after we found the African 'Prince' boy and somehow our Knight Commander, Steve Rogers adopted him. That ain't the issue. The issue is I have three kids running around the whole day on the base.

They hardly study anything Martha teaches them and would rather learn fighting skills or computer skills instead of simple fuck**** maths.

Now, there is Melina who acts as a mother for three and Hope sometimes would spend time with the new kid. I somehow went from being an agent in SHIELD to being a head of a childcare facility.

"Martha, how is the progress on this Savage Land?" I asked Martha. Phil and Bucky went with their teams a few weeks ago to locate and secure a place for us. I still haven't heard from them in the last couple of days.

"Well, master Phil reported that he had found a perfect place for us in the jungle and he has asked invited for you to go there and have a personal look," Martha replied and finally, oh finally, I can escape this family drama situation.

"Well, inform the knights to get ready to board Quinjet. I want to leave in 10 minutes. Hope will take over here in the meantime." I said happily and grabbed my guns and left.

I rather sleep on the journey than sit on the base anymore.

---------5 hours later-----------

We landed on this frozen ice desert. I and my team followed the others to an ice cave. It is just small enough for one person to pass one time. Clearly, this pathway to savage lands is clearly hidden. If you don't know what to look for, you might be checking every iceberg here.

We went from straight walking to now, descending down in the cave. It is literally a makeshift elevator through which we go down, deep into the land and I finally came out to see Jurassic world type of thing.

There are some flying dinosaurs and huge mother**** ers with long necks. This is our base? Holy mother*****Jesus!

"Welcome Fury. This is the place. The Savage Land. Our future and hopefully permanent base on earth. Filled with huge deposits of Vibranium in the ground and basically undetectable from the outside world.

I am also making a sort of a force-field cloaking barrier here across the entire land. Martha managed to get some information from that invisible jet on our last mission and did give me some ideas. It will take some work but I think this place can give humans a fighting chance against any future threats." Ryan came outside to meet me and went on to explain his idea of making a base here. How he will design houses with the trees and create a natural structure and how in future we can create a city here in sort of pod style houses. I only have one question!

"Are you sure this is a safe place? Cause I can see those flying mother**** and they don't look the cute friendly kind."

"In time fury. All animals communicate at a particular frequency and with a limited vocal syntax. Don't worry in future, they will fly with us not against us. The same goes for all animals here. Martha is building a communications library that will help us avoid them and hopefully communicate with them in future." Phil replied grinningly.

This guy goes on making impossible things possible and I thought only Starks were crazy. Anyway, Tony is busy making weapons for the world while we are trying to save one. Real Irony.

"Show me the location, Phil. I want to see where exactly we are building our base in the forest?"

"Sure, follow me. I have captured a huge piece of land that once belonged to this huge Tyrannosaurus rex and its tribe but yeah, we roasted his ass and grabbed this piece. Those were some of the deadliest predators around here but now, it's relatively safe."

"You are telling me you and Bucky managed to kill T-rex and grabbed his territory?" I asked stupefied. That's a T-Rex, not some wolf or lion. These guys have surely gone crazy here.

"You have to kill the biggest and baddest predator in the area Fury if you want to keep your ass safe. The law of prison fury, Law of prison." Phil explained me stupid shit and we went towards the supposed base lands in our modified off-road vehicles.

----Phil POV------

I brought Fury here to our new base area. We grabbed this huge area from a group of nasty T-rex that we definitely enjoyed hunting. No one loves T-rex. Killing those lizards did bring us many small 'guests' but that is a story for another time.

"See this. 5 Km from this river, we go as far as the area on all sides. Our last landowners had the biggest land here and we don't need to expand any more than that. Also, the land here has some really magical herbs thanks to Vibranium. Oh yeah! The mountains over there are made up of that. Complete Vibranium. I don't know how much is there, but I don't think we can dig it all out even in 10 lifetimes." I explained to Fury showing him our new land.

"Well, then when we plant to build everything you have been talking about?" he finally asked. I smiled and pushed buttons on my armguard. The cloaking barrier I had applied on this area was finally deactivated and I showed him my baby robots working here.

"Who said I am waiting for anything? This is the second barrier, mainly around the base. Away from foreign eyes and also creates a safe area in future for us. We are the first humans in this land and we might need some time before our neighbours get used to us."

Fury finally smiled. He clapped his hands and laughed. I brought out two beer cans from a freezer I had nearby. I threw him one. We both enjoyed sipping this cold beer in this most beautiful piece of land looking at our future base.

"You know Phil, you called to give an update in like 4-5 days. However, I did find from Yelena that you had been talking to her mother every night. It's strange isn't it." Fury said my secret phone call thing out loud and I basically spit out my beer.

"I thought some things are private, Fury."

"Well, they are unless it's about the soviet Black Widow and our Phil, the Owl trying to make little Black Owls or something. I do keep my eyes open for this thing. You should talk to her kids. You do know that Melina comes with 2 small tiny packages for free. It's a family offer with no discount buddy."

"Let's just drink the rest of the beer and pretend we didn't talk about this. I will handle my love life. Thanks. And BTW how could you use a 10-year-old to spy on her mother?" I asked him angrily.

"I paid Yelena with a box of pretzels and a new combat knife and small electric batons. She loves them." Fury said this with a straight face and I lost it.
