34 Arc 2-Chapter 23 (Given and taken part 1)

24th of July, 2013

It's been more than two years since the creation of Kill team Nemesis, now known as Nemesis Alfa, and the world is on the upturn.

In Asia, the crime rate has dropped significantly. High ranking Yakuza have been hunted down and a lot of the smaller ones have turned themselves in and cooperated with the law.

In the middle east and further, ISIS influence and power started dwindling. Turns out the various groups have been held together by their respective leaders and without them it was only a matter of time before they started becoming predictable.

Hope is returning to Africa. In the west, middle and east, a lot of warlords as well as arms dealers and human traffickers have been assassinated and their networks destroyed. While there still are many problems and several warlords, people can rest easy knowing that they will be taken care of.

Piece is coming back to Europe as the Norse cultists have all but been completely eradicated. Due to their strong belief they refuse to surrender and this is why the majority are killed off. The Islamic extremists have been pushed back greatly. Apart from Azrael, two more 'Angels' have been apprehended. Only one remains and that is not enough. Many extremists are surrendering and it's only a matter of time before they are completely stopped.

The west is still struggling but far less than before. In the northern and southwest countries of South America the cartel organizations have been under constant attack by the UATF, more specifically the ANVIL mercenaries. Furthermore, Anvil has spread greatly throughout northern Mexico thus not allowing any drugs to pass or any cartel members attempting to start something there.

Overall, the world is starting to fix itself. The ones that are taking this very well are not just politicians, but also the people. UN reporters have been sent across the globe to investigate what the people think about this.

(United States)

Houston, Texas

Reporter:"I'm here live in Houston, Texas where a captain of the famous private military group ANVIL is meeting with the National guard. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss a contingency plan for the border with Mexico." He turns around and sees several soldiers walking towards the building. "Sir! Sir a moment of your time please! Could you please tell us the reason for this meeting?"

Soldier:"A contingency. We can never be too careful. Should the enemy surprise us we must be ready. But something tells me that won't happen."

Reporter:"Why is that?"

Soldier:"They're loosing and loosing badly. These ANVIL guys are really good at their job. But I think there's more to it. We've been getting reports of an anonymous third party fighting the cartel. The captain met them but briefly."

Reporter:"So you're saying that the US sent special forces without announcement?"

Soldier:"All I'm saying is we have some guardian angels on our side. Right now I don't care who they are as long they fight with us." He leaves and the reporter turns to the camera.

Reporter:"Secret soldiers? Was the US Army hiding some kind of secret weapon or could this be something else? This is Simon Anderson, signing out."

(Colombia)

Reporter:"So these men saved you?"

Man:"Si! Our village was attacked by the cartel. A lot of people died. They wanted to send a message that others will also receive this fate if they don't support them.

Reporter:"And then what happened?"

Man:"Then they came. Out of nowhere from all sides just firing they're guns. Every time they did, those cartel bastardos kept dying. They killed everyone and then they left. I never saw their faces, but I can tell you one thing, they are heroes."

Reporter:"You really think so?"

Man:"Si, I know so. They saved our lives, and this village. If it weren't for them, I would never be able to see my son and daughter again. I only wish they came sooner."

Reporter:"Thank you, sir." He turns to the camera, "Seems like special forces are involved. More detail is required but one thing is certain. These men, who ever they are, are heroes of the people."

(Congo)

Boy:"And yes, that's what happened. It was terrifying but cool!"

Reporter:"So these men came out of nowhere and shot everyone?"

Man:"Yes. They were trying to kidnap us, I don't know why. But these mysterious men showed up, dressed in black and they killed all of them."

Reporter:"Did you see their faces?"

Boy:"No. They had masks. Two were really tall, two were short and one was in the middle."

Reporter:"So five of them? No more? Only five men did all this?"

Man:"I know you must find this hard to believe, but we speak the truth."

Reporter:"I do believe you." She turns to the camera, "Five men? Are these some special forces the UATF hasn't told us about? An ANVIL or Eagle mercenary groups perhaps. Or maybe something else entirely. Either way, in the eyes of these people, they are heroes."

(Thailand)

Reporter:"You were taken hostage by the Yakuza last night, correct?"

Woman:"Yes. Me and several others were held in the building I work in."

Reporter:"Can you please tell us what happened?"

Woman:"They tied us up and put tape on our mouths. There were... fifteen of them, I think. One had a white bandana with a red dot on his head. I don't know what they wanted. But they never got it. All of a sudden, the lights went out and it got dark, very dark. I could barely see. But could hear everything. The muffled gun shots, grunts and glass braking too. Some screams as well. I was scared, we all were. After a few minutes, the lights came back on, and I saw two black figures standing. I couldn't see their faces, but I saw the bodies. All the men were dead. The tall one held a bloody knife. He looked down at me and kneeled. I was terrified, but he cut me loose and then the others."

Reporter:"So you didn't see his face. Or the other man's?"

Woman:"No. I tried to ask them for their names but they didn't even react. After they made sure the Yaluza were dead they left. I never saw them after that, but at this point I don't care. They saved our lives. And I'm grateful for that."

The reporter turns to the camera:"Mysterious men in black saving hostages and then disappear? Something tells me those weren't the local authorities. Could they be international or perhaps a joint effort? What ever the case may be one question is floating around everyone's minds. Where are mysterious soldiers?"

Las Delicias, Argentina

Deep in the jungle, a wide dirt road with five houses on the left and four on the right leads to a three story building. The cluster of buildings was filled with locals but also enemies.

Around 40 to 50 cartel grunts were amongst them, constantly on guard. The recent events taught them not to take chances and always remain vigilant.

The infamous 'Green demons' as they call them constantly kept them on edge. Many cartel points were hit in the past two years which severely damaged the web of operations in South America.

This place was a hiding spot for one of the last few surviving cartel officers. He's waiting for one more man so that they may come up with a plan of escape.

What they don't realise is that their every move was being watched.

In the sky, a drone is hovering in the air. Further away in the trees, Carla is looking through the scope of her new Dragunov SVD which she ordered for missions like this.

On the left side behind the houses are Franklin and Victoria, waiting patiently with their weapons.

On the right was Takeshi, looking though his drone. Yuri on the other hand was crouched behind the largest house.

Takeshi:"Ok, no new activity. Still not seeing the new arrival."

Carla:"I see him. He'll be here in a few minutes."

Franklin:"Alright. My explosives are in position. Everyone remember their part of the plan?"

Victoria:"Yes."

Carla:"Yeah."

Takeshi:"Yes."

Franklin:"Good."

Yuri:"Aren't you forgetting someone?"

Franklin:"Heh. The most dangerous man alive? How can I? Just kill the bastard and we can go home."

Yuri:"Sure thing."

After two years, things were looking better for the team. After dozens of missions they really got closer to each other. And Yuri especially. He was no longer the lone wolf and the outsider, he was a part of the team. And he got something he thought he would never have again. Happiness.

Takeshi:"He's here. Let's do this."

Two SUVs drive down the road. Several narcos walk up to them to greet the men. But Franklin had other plans.

*BOOM*

In an instant both SUVs blow up, killing everyone inside and seven more who were to close. And thus the shooting began.

Carla killed the ones on the roof tops first. Franklin opened fire on the houses with his machine gun. Takeshi got inside and started clearing out. But this was all a distraction.

The narco officer hid in his room while his men tried to prepare for the attackers. But no one could prepare for him.

Yuri broke the window and killed the two men in the kitchen. He moved on to the living room where he killed two more. After throwing a grenade to the other room he went up the stairs. A man tried to stab him, only to get his arm broken and face shot. Four narcos started shooting at Yuri. He hid behind the door frame.

Carla:"Need help?"

Yuri:"You kill them and give another chance to beat me."

*BANG*BANG*BANG*BANG*

Carla:"I'm winning this time."

Yuri:"We'll see."

He made his way to the officer's room. After kicking down the door he jumped to the left to avoid a shotgun blast. Yuri threw a flash bang and after it popped he went into the room and killed both the officer and the narco with him.

Yuri:"Target is dead, I repeat, target is dead!"

Franklin:"Good job, now get your ass out of there!"

Yuri ran down the door and saw the shootout. He quickly joined by killed two more narcos. Only 10-15 are left. The four of them lined up and walked down the street with guns at the ready. Every narco that popped out was shot immediately. Carla was covering their backs and after a few minutes they were all dead.

Franklin:"Alright team, regroup we're heading to extraction point."

Some of the locals exited their houses and went towards the four of them. They started shaking their hands and some of the kids even hugged them.

An old man came up to Franklin:"Gracias! Muchos Gracias!"

Yuri spoke in Spanish:"No need to thank us. We're just doing our job."

Old man:"But who are you? Americans?"

Yuri looks around his team and then back to the old man:"We're soldiers who fight for the better of the world."

The team then ran off into the jungle, never to be seen again. The people still stood there and pondered just who they were.

(Later that day)

Police and military vehicles were at the scene. They were conducting a search for the ones who killed the narcos. Some of the police were questioning the locals to see what they now. Even a UN reporter was on the scene asking questions.

Reporter:"Sir, can you tell me what happened exactly?"

Old man:"Si. It all happened to quickly. First there was an explosion and then gun fire. A lot of men started dying. I could hear gun fire from inside the big house too. There were four of them. Well, five, there was a sniper in the distance. They killed them all and left."

Reporter:"And did you happen to catch their names or anything?"

Old man:"Well not their names. One spoke my language but I don't think he was Argentinian. He said that they were 'soldiers who fight for the better of the world'. And then they left."

Reporter:"I see. Thank you.", she turns to the camera, "And yet another incident involving the mysterious soldiers. Seems like who ever they are the world governments are keeping it a secret. If you're watching this, on behalf of the world, thank you."

(Meanwhile)

Burkina Faso, Africa

Sitting in a dark room and staring at several monitors was a short round African man in his late forties with a rugged beard and scar on his bottom lip. He's smoking a cigar while a little girl, about the age of eleven, is standing next to him holding a platter.

Her expression says it all. She was scared and traumatised.

The man took the glass from her platter and waved his hand, telling her to leave.

After she left, he spoke to himself:"Secret soldiers. Hm. This might prove problematic. They already killed many of my patterns in Somalia and Kenya. Soon, they'll come for me.", he chuckles as he takes a sip from his glass, "They have a lot of tricks up their sleeve. Luckily, I have some too. Just you wait soldiers, soon you'll meet your match."
