18 Wait, Where's Jet?

I quickly sat up to see that I was in the forest near a river. I noticed Klaud next to me, so I got up and shook Klaus's body while saying, "Wake up!" Luckily, Quindlen didn't wake up, and Klaus said, "Ah... good morning brother."

He smiled and said, "I guess I have to take you back home now, huh?" I nodded, and we walked back to the dark alleyways of the city. We made it to Molotov's place and I was greeted by my kits. "Who's this?" Ace asked while sniffing him. Klaus said, "I'm Rudy's brother, Klaus." Blossom had no interest in him, Birch was too shy, Ash actually talked to him, and Ace was interested in him as well.

Soon, Molotov finally arrived, but his clothes were torn and stained with blood. His arms were covered in scratches and he had a large, deep cut on his left leg. He collapsed, and I rushed over to him. Other cats rushed to his side as well, and Molotov said, "I barely escaped... the humans were a handful with their fancy new technology."

I was starting to get anxious. Jet wasn't here yet. I decided to wait a bit longer in case he got lost or something.

An hour passed, and Jet still hasn't arrived. I had to go up to Molotov and ask him, "Is Jet coming back?" He seemed confused, then said, "Wait... where is Jet?" I looked up and sighed. I couldn't make up any more excuses to myself. I was starting to get so worried about where I couldn't handle it. I told Molotov, "I'm going out to find Jet."

He looked up at me and said, "I'm sure he's resting somewhere! A-And besides... it's too dangerous to go out.." I flattened my ears and said, "I'm going, whether you like it or not!" I hopped onto the roof and started running. There were quite a few cats following me, so I glanced behind me to see who was following me. Klaus, Ace, Ash, Birch, and Molotov with a squad of cats were following me.

I smirked and we ran to the Breeding Facility. Molotov said, "This is where I last saw him. I thought he escaped from the humans, but it seems that I guessed wrong." I gave him a quick nod and said, "He should be here then. But he might get eaten by wolves or foxes." I shivered at the memory of Peter threatening Klaus. We went through an open window, and the cats scouted out.

I had Birch stay with me because he looked too nervous, and Ace said, "Dad's definitely here. I can sense him." One of Molotov's cats and Ash came running over saying, "He's in a cage over here!" Ace, Birch, and I walked into the room where they found him, and we saw him resting on a hospital bed. He looked uncomfortable, and there were tools near him that have yet to be used.

I opened the door and slowly walked in. Without a sound, I moved the bed out of the room and pushed it near the window we came out of. Molotov hopped through the window and helped me get Jet out of the building. All of the cats and I made it out in one peace, and we all ran back to Molotov's alley with Jet and the hospital bed.

Once we got there, we placed Jet down on a clean mattress and waited for him to wake up. Two hours later, everyone was sleeping except for Ace and I. Jet was still sleeping, and there was no sign of him waking up. Ace let out a huge yawn and said, "I'm so tired..." I smiled at him and said, "You can go rest. Don't worry about me." Ace's smile looked weary. It seems that he's been up longer than expected.

I told him, "There's no need to worry about us too much. You also need to worry about yourself." Ace looked at me in surprise, probably thinking I didn't know what was going on. "Go on to sleep. You better not worry about us in your dreams too." I said in a playful tone. He purred and walked away to sleep with his siblings.

I looked back at Jet, and he was still resting peacefully. I realized that I was constantly checking if he was still breathing like there was something wrong with him. "There's nothing wrong... right?"
