9 The Peace Ruptured

"Mom! Can we visit dad?" Ace mewed excitedly. The kittens were now three weeks old, and they now stray away from me from time to time. I said, "Sure, but we have to ask Uncle Tim first." I stood up and I walked to Tim's room with the kittens slowly following me. I opened the door and Tim said, "Hey Rudy. Let me guess, y'all want to visit Jet?"

Blossom shouted, "Yes!" Tim laughed and he asked me, "What did she say?" "She said yes." Tim sighed and said, "Put your kittens in the box. We're going now."

When we got to Tony's house, we heard weeping from inside. Tim opened the door and Tony was on the floor crying. "Hey, what's wrong!?" Tim asked. Tony managed to say, "S-someone took Jet... he's gone!" Tim started calming Tony down, but I knew exactly where he was. I went into Jet's room and told the kittens, "Be good while I'm gone, okay?"

The kittens promised that they would be good, and I walked out of the room. I climbed into the vents and looked through the airvent that lead to Tony's room.

Jet was in there messing with Tony's things. He even took Tony's toys that he uses when Tim's not around. When Tony entered the room, he said, "Oh fuck." Tim laughed, and Jet purred in amusement. Tony ran after Jet, so I stuck my arm out of the vent, and Jet grabbed it, so I pulled him in. Jet laughed and said, "Thanks, Rudy. So why are you visiting this time?"

I said, "Well the kids wanted to see you. C'mon, they're in your room." Jet followed me into his room, and the kittens started meowing at us. Jet and I played with them until they got tired, and we finally got to talk to each other. Jet said, "You're going to go into heat soon. Mating season isn't over by a long shot."

I sighed and said, "I overheard Tim talking about locking me up when I go into heat. I think he doesn't want more kittens around the house." Jet laughed and said, "There's no keeping me from you." Then there was an explosion. We rushed to the living room and there was a huge hole in the house, and what we saw sprawled on the ground wasn't pretty. It was heartbreaking.

On the floor, was Tim with a knife in his leg, and Tony with a bullet hole in his head. Tony's eyes had a white haze, and he wasn't breathing anymore. Jet was trembling violently, and Tim was screaming in agony and sadness. Jet held my hand, and when I looked at him, he had his eyes closed, and his tears were trailing off of his face, and onto the ground.

I hugged him, and I whispered, "I'm so sorry..." Then he started crying more. Jack rushed over and his jaw dropped when he saw the tragedy. He immediately called the police, and they went to the hospital. Jet and I went to Tony's room with the kittens and stayed there for a while in silence.

Then Jet said, "He was like my best friend to me. We had our differences, but he was always there when I needed him." He balled his hand into a fist and said, "It's not fair! He didn't have to die like this!" More tears streamed down his face, and he murmured, "He promised that we would grow up together because we were the same age."

I couldn't do anything. All I could do was listen. It made me sad that my mate was sad, and it made me sad that Tim's mate was dead.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. We hesitated to open it, but Jet open it slightly, and there were two people and a brunette dog pet wearing sunglasses. One of the humans asked, "Are you Jet?" I was concerned because I've seen pets go back to the adoption because of their owners abandoning them. Jet said, "Yeah what of it?"

The other human said, "We have to take you back to the adoption due to the death of your previous master." Jet hissed loudly, and he shut the door in their faces. I put the kittens in the travel box and put it under Tony's desk before the dog broke the door down. They used a rope to grab Jet, but I ran up and held down the rope.

"Get this cat off of my rope!" The dog walked over to me and tried to pull me off, but I held on. He tried to pull me off another way, but he pulled his hands away in confusion. He probably touched a couple of my teats. He called some dogs over to sniff me, but I kicked them away. One of the humans asked the dog, "What's wrong?"

The dog looked at his hand and said, "The male biting the rope down has... teats?" One of the humans looked dumbfounded, and the other one laughed loudly. The one who looked dumbfounded touched one of my teats, but I kicked him away before he touched more. "Uhm... he has something going on." The human said. Before the other human said or did anything, Jet chewed the rope off of him and I let go of the rope.

The dogs barked at the other dog, and he said, "They say that he's given birth to six kittens." One of the humans said, "That's... impossible! He's a boy isn't he?" The dog nodded, and the other human chuckled to himself. Jet said, "Aren't you supposed to be somewhere else?" The human said, "No. We were ordered to get you out of here."

The other human walked out and the one standing in front of us said, "We need backup." The dog told the other dogs to go away, and it was just the human and the dog now. Jet and I stayed on guard until we heard tons of footsteps. More humans came in and grabbed Jet and I. We were fighting back, but they took us outside and tried to put us into cages.

I thought it was over until the human holding me fell, and Jet shouted, "Run Rudy!" I hesitated, but more humans surrounded me, so I ran back inside. I sprinted to Tony's room and grabbed the travel box with my kits inside. The humans came in and they became more careful because I was holding the kittens. I busted the window open and I jumped out with the humans chasing me.

I heard barking, and I turned to see Fin and his group passing by. One of the dogs looked at me and barked at Fin. This made Fin and the other dogs see me being chased by a bunch of humans with a box in my hands. Fin ordered the dogs to go attack the humans, and while they were busy, Fin picked me up and howled.

The dogs stopped attacking the humans and followed Fin. The humans were still behind us, so he put me down and told some of the dogs, "Go find Lucille!" Then he turned to the other group and said, "Let's fight the humans and protect Rudy!" The dogs barked in unison and attacked the humans along with Fin. A few minutes later, the dogs that Fin sent off came back with a bunch of cats and a girl pet cat.

She wore a devil horn headband and a black dress. Her tail and ears were black, and her eyes were light yellow. She said, "Oh god. Fin what the hell happened this time!?" Fin shouted, "Get the cat out of here!" Lucile looked at me and said, "You got it." She signaled me to follow her and quickly ran away.
