27 Moving On Without You

The meeting was over after only a few arguments and a stunning reveal. I was finally able to reunite with Birch and Ace, so I kept them close. Ace asked me, "Are we really moving to the forest?" I nodded and said, "It's really beautiful. The air isn't bad, and we don't have to be too cautious of humans anymore." Ace smiled and Birch said, "I hope so. The city and alleys smell gross."

Jet walked over and said, "We'll be leaving soon. Are you ready?" This question was a life changing decision, but there was only one answer. "We're ready." I said. Jet picked me up because my legs were still messed up. Ace carried Birch, and we all started moving to the forest. It was far, and the beginning of the forest was dangerously close to the Breeding Facility.

When we got there, there were tons of human guards, and the evil Scar Man was in the middle of them all, staring directly at me. Next to him was Tim, all tied up. It was like he was saying "It's your fault that Tim is in this situation". The guards ran towards all of the cats, and every pet and cat that was able to fight jumped in the way. Jet started rushing to the forest, and when we got to the edge, he put me down and said, "I'll be back!" "Jet wa-"

He didn't stop. He just ran into the action, and helped the leaders with fighting off the guards. Ace rushed back to me and he said, "I'll help you!" I lowered my head, realizing something. This whole war was my fault. They wanted me, but I stayed with my family and friends. Even Klaus and Jaja were fighting for me.

I got adrenaline running in me, so I stood up. The pain wasn't even there, and I told Ace, "Go with your brother. Don't wait for me." He shouted something, but I was already running into the battle. Scar Man shouted, "There he is!" Other pets noticed too, but I didn't care. I remembered the promise I made to Birch, so I ran away from the battle, and all of the guards started chasing me.

I was able to dodge all of the bullets they shot at me except for one. The bullet went through my arm, and made it almost useless. I kept running until I got into the alleyways. I faced them, and they all stopped. I ran into them, and I started fighting all of them. I accidentally killed some of them, but the rest of them passed out.

Finally, I was facing the trembling Scar Man. He held up a gun, but I was still walking towards him. He shot at me, but I dodged them, and knocked the gun from his hands with my tail. He tripped and fell, but he was still backing away from me. Once again, I remembered Birch's promise, so I walked away from him, and ran towards the Breeding Facility.

Then I suddenly couldn't move. I looked at my leg, and I saw a red dart in it. The dart made me paralyzed, and Scar Man said, "You shouldn't have spared me. Now I'm going to make your life absolute hell." Suddenly, I blacked out, and there was nothing else I could do.

I was in the forest, waiting for Rudy to come back. It wasn't long after he ran away, leading the guards away from us so we could escape. King Night said, "I think... Rudy may have been captured." I couldn't help but accept that fact. It's been an hour, and there was no sign of Rudy. It also seems that everyone else has accepted that too.

I started crying. Birch and Ace started crying as well, and King Night announced, "Rudy will be honored for his bravery. Because of this, Jet shall be the new ruler of The Cats of the Sun!" Everyone cheered in agreement. I couldn't believe what he said. I couldn't even lead a regular group. Everyone shouted, "King Jet! King Jet!"

And that was that. I'm now king of The Cats of the Sun, and Rudy was gone. My heir is Ace, and we decided to not get the dogs. Queen Spring wanted to be my mate because she wanted power as a Royal Queen, but I refused. Molotov got his own group again, and Klaus and Jaja joined mine.

Life is now peaceful, thanks to Rudy, the hero of the cats, and my mate.
