15 Confessions

The cats didn't answer, and I was able to jump onto the roof undetected. "Tell me!" Jet's voice made the world go silent. Even the gentle breeze stopped flowing through the air. I tried to sneak away, but a shingle fell off, so I ran. I didn't look back. I just kept running. Voices in my head kept shouting, "He's behind you! Run!"

Then someone yanked on my tail, making me fall face flat. I tried to get up, but Jet jumped on top of me and said, "Rudy please stop running..." He put his hand on my head and said, "I'm... sorry for hurting you... it was like someone else took over my mind..." He got off of me and said, "Please find it in your heart to forgive me... I still love you very much..."

I didn't know what to think. He cheated on me because of "old habits", and I didn't know anything else about him. Yet again, him staying with me for so long with the kids and the other times we had made me feel stressed out. "I... I'm having trouble thinking..." I murmured. I then sat up and Jet was speechless.

I turned around to look at him, and he was looking down. Then I saw a small red light flashing on his neck. Jet was about to scratch it, but I said, "Wait, don't scratch it." He perked his head up, and I took a closer look. I touch the light, then Jet passed out. I touched it again and he woke up saying, "Wait what happened.."

I said, "Jet I'm going to do something. Please trust me with this." Jet said, "I trust you..." I tilted his head, and I used my claws to put a slight slit in his neck. He flinched, then I pulled a small chip out of his neck. Jet asked, "What is that...?" I said, "I don't know... but there is only one person who would know but he's gone..."

The chip activated, and it said, "There are no females in the area. Go back to sleep." Jet asked, "Who is this?" The voice in the chip said, "Shit! Uh... boss! We have a problem!" I set the chip down and we heard a man say, "What? Did the chip malfunction even more?" The other person said, "U-um... no... the chip is out of his neck and he's speaking to me."

There was a lot of rustling, and finally, the boss said, "Jet, is it? How did you get the chip out of your neck?" Jet boldly said, "My mate took it out. Now you answer my question. Who are you?" The boss said, "Very well. I guess I should tell you since you're my pet after all." Jet laughed and said, "That's a good one. Now tell me."

The boss sighed and said, "You may know me as "Tony", but my real name is Peter." This made Jet angry. He shouted, "No! Tony is dead! I saw him die with my own two eyes!" The boss said, "What a shame. Maybe it was Andy that destroyed the robot. Or should I say, "The Scar Man"?" Jet wanted to destroy the chip, but he said, "What is going on."

The boss said, "Andy and I are breeders. We breed rare cats so we can sell them to get some cash. Rudy is a very rare cat. There are only three of his kind left. He is indeed a cream-colored Diamond Fox cat." I couldn't believe what he said. My mind was going all over the place. Then the boss said, "There's no escaping us. We put a chip in Molotov and Moon. At least those function better than yours."

Jet said, "Rudy is not a Diamond Fox cat! He doesn't have gems on his tail or ears!" The boss chuckled and said, "We had the place that took care of him pull them off. Don't worry, they grow back, but that's when we set out to find him and pull more out." Then another person said, "Boss! There is no sign of gems on the litter! We have to do something else."

The boss said, "Interesting. Well, we just have to do this how we should have a long time ago."

Then we heard someone scream in pain. We looked in the direction it came from, and Molotov was running towards us. There was a red light blinking in his neck, and he shouted, "Run!" Jet smashed the chip and picked me up. He then ran across the rooftops and Molotov was behind us in hot pursuit.
