13 A Secret That Stabbed My Heart

It was dark, and Jet, Blossom, and Ash have yet to come back. Birch was still awake, worried about his siblings and his father, and Ace was sleeping soundly. I, of course, was worried about my family as well. Birch asked with a slight lisp, "When are they coming home?" It seemed that his lisp was going away ever so slightly.

I said, "Soon. I hope." Birch sighed and I lied down. Birch settled down next to me, and I watched Ace and the entrance of the alleyway. My eyelids were starting to get heavy, but I heard a familiar voice say, "Hey! You awake?" I looked up and saw Molotov looking down at me with a worried expression. I said, "Birch I need you to stay here. When Ace wakes up, tell him to stay here as well." Birch nodded, and I jumped onto the roof.

Ash and Blossom were next to him, and Molotov said, "This is serious." I told Ash and Blossom to go into the alleyway, and I followed Molotov to another place. I asked him, "What's going on?" Molotov sighed and said, "I can't keep this from you forever. It's wrong. You're a nice kid and you don't deserve this." I kept following him, but I felt my legs quiver.

We stopped at an abandoned building. I followed Molotov inside, and I heard laughter. Molotov slightly opened the door, and we looked through to see what I can never unsee. Jet was with a bunch of other pets. There were mostly girls and guys trying to hook up with them. Jet was sitting with a girl that had her ears and tail dyed blue.

She wore a torn blue skirt and a short black tank top. It seemed like- no. They *were* flirting with each other. Jet forcibly kissed her, but she gladly kissed back. I flattened my ears, and I suddenly felt alone. My heartfelt like it was being torn apart as images of Jet and I burned away. I wanted to go in there, but I couldn't move. I couldn't breathe.

I fell, but Molotov caught me and said, "I'll do this for you. Okay?" I was able to breathe again, but I was starting to black out. Molotov busted the door down and shouted, "You fucking dog!" I heard gasps and whispers around the room. Molotov then shouted, "I don't give a damn! He needed to know! He loves you!"

I felt something wet drop on my face. I looked at Molotov's face and tears streamed down his face like bullets. "If you don't love him then I'm taking him away! He didn't deserve any more pain! You of all people should know this!" His voice kept cracking and it was filled with sadness. I heard Jet shouting, but I couldn't hear his words.

I heard a girl say, "Wait what!? You're Jet!?" Everyone started talking now. I heard some pets run away, and some of them growled. Molotov said, "I don't care if it's an old habit or not! You shouldn't do that to someone you call your "permanent mate"! Asshole!" Then I felt someone yank on my arm. Molotov pryed their hand off of me and shouted, "We're leaving!"

I felt like dying. Ever since I got adopted, my life was going up and down, and I couldn't do anything about it. Then I suddenly blacked out.
