petalkit and icekit prologue

The three kits mewed as the wind blew in the nursery. rainstorm meowed "take them to the twoleg place it's for the best" two started opening their eyes there pink and Amber eyes stared at there mother. "I'll name them petalkit and icekit" cloudfur mewed in satisfaction "there so cute" the last kit wouldn't wake so cloudfur asked"kit, kit? kit!!!... please no" "I think she's dead" rainstorm meowed looking at the silver striped kit"well have to bury her" "NOOOOO!!!!" cloudfur yelled at her sister "I want to take her to the river and leave her there just in case she's alive" "ok then we'll take her to the river"

the wind went past petalkit as she was on her way to the twoleg place. petalkit has a sister, icekit who is alittle behind her. icekit slowly creeped towards petalkit then pounced making petalkit fall to the cold snowy ground. "icekit..." petalkit moaned "get off me" she pushed icekit off into the snow. "girls stop playing around we have a long way to go" cloudfur commentated as she picked them up. cloudfur is their mother she is very serious and doesn't like when her kits are playing when their trying to get to somewhere. "mama.." petalkit mewed trying to get free. cloudfur puts the kits on her back "girls you need to behave if you want to survive" she mewed seriously. "but I want to play!!" icekit protested "icekit if you want to survive behave and no playing around" cloudfur replied "fine" icekit mewed with a sad look on her face. "we're almost at the gorge" cloudfur mewed "we're going to jump over it", "how will we make it?" petalkit asked, cloudfur replied "you two will be on my back and I will jump to the other side". "but what if one of u-" petalkit asked but got interrupted by cloudfur "we'll be fine", "ok" petalkit mewed. once they got to the gorge cloudfur mewed "we're here" cloudfur went backwards, she went into pounceing position, she waited then she jumped...she was in mid air when icekit was slipping off of her back "ICEKIT!!!! NOOOOO!!"petalkit yelled trying to get her back up, and then..... icekit couldn't hold on much longer "petalkit I love you" icekit said as she let go and fell into the rushing water. cloudfur landed and put petalkit down then she jumped into the water trying to save icekit. a few minutes later cloudfur finally found icekit and started heading up. when she reached the land above the gorge Cloudfur was trying to wake her "icekit, wake up, please wake up" cloudfur mewed with a single tear running down her face. petalkit went to icekit and mewed "icekit, no!" cloudfur looked at petalkit and sadly confessed "she's.....gone" petalkit started sobbing, so did cloudfur. "this can't be happening!!!" petalkit yelled at her mother and then she ran off. an hour later cloudfur finds petalkit and sits next to her. "I know it's sad but at least I didn't lose you both" cloudfur mewed looking down at petalkit. "BUT I WOULD HAVE RATHER DIED INSTEAD OF HER!!!"she yelled at her mother, "but nobody could've known that she would slip" cloudfur mewed in a soothing voice, "but I didn't do anything to stop it" she mewed calming down "I just let her fall" "mistakes happen but you shouldn't feel bad for your mistakes because you learn from them" cloudfur continued in the soothing voice, "thanks mama" she purred, "your welcome" she purred back to petalkit. after a few hours they made it to the twoleg place "welcome to your new home" cloudfur mewed "let's go inside one of the dens to see if we will be adopted they jump over a fence and walk towards the cat door that the twoleg has for stray cats. they enter the den and then they start mewing and soon a twoleg female walks over to them, soon enough they become kittypets and they are happy fat cats now.... this is the end of the first book thanks for reading here's a bonus description of the characters....

petalkit: a gray, dark grey, black and hints of pink mixed cat, enormous pink eyes.

cloudfur: fluffy white cat, beautiful blue eyes

icekit: white cat, Amber eyes

rainstorm: greyish fur with stripes and greenish eyes

unnamed kit(name will be found out later): light grey with darker stripes and pink eyes.
