1 Prologue:Finally a good day...?

It had been a year since I graduated from university. I had moved back in with my parents and it was suffocating. They weren't doing anything wrong but the constant questions about what I was planning to do with my future were getting to me.

I was too embarrassed to tell them that all my plans had fallen through. Originally, I had planned to go to X University to pursue my Masters degree and had been accepted to begin starting last December. However, last minute they told me they revoked my acceptance. When I asked the reason why, they told me my final recommendation made them reconsider me being a student there. That final recommendation was written by my old professor, Zack Xiu. Zack was a 25 year old genius in the field of Microbiology as well as my former lover. I had worked alongside him for two years and had asked him for a letter of recommendation before we ever started seeing each other as more than colleagues.

Last May, before I graduated, he told me I was his best pupil and that he would be honored to be my reference. Last June, he asked me on a date that started my sweet first love. I don't want to talk about it too much because I don't want to remember it. Last August, was when he suddenly stopped answering all my calls and texts. That was when I heard through a mutual friend Zac had introduced his fiancé to our friends. A fiancé I never knew existed. I concealed all the emotions going through my head as I realized why he told me he wanted our relationship to be kept a secret from everyone else.

So the past few months, I hid away. I avoided friends. I rarely saw my parents because I almost never came out from my room. Most of the time, I cried. The only way I can describe those months were that they were gross. Grossly depressing, grossly dark, grossly dramatic for a person who once prided themselves on being levelheaded and strong.

I couldn't tell anyone, especially my parents, about my breakdown. I just applied for job after job after job until I finally heard back from one. An entry level position with a decent salary which would give me the means to move out.

In a few minutes, I was going to an interview for theonly place that contacted me. I had managed to pull myself together. I showered, brushed my teeth, fixed my hair and put on some makeup to look more alive. A warm feeling engulfed me despite the dreary weather...maybe everything will go alright.

I walked confidently into the building and waited for the elevator. A small smile graced my face as I checked out myself in the mirror. A petite girl with dark hair and feline eyes looked back.

"I'm so cute~", I mentally hummed.

In the reflection of the shiny metal wall, I saw a familiar head of brown hair as the elevator doors opened.

"Zack?" I turned a back as I took a step forward to better see the person behind me.

"Luna?" That was the last thing I heard before I realized the elevator had never came. Instead, the doors opened to a large pit that seemed to extend on to forever as I fell down, down, down...into a fluffy bed?!
