21 Huggy-Huggy session

The next day, Choi Byung Joon rose early and did his usual morning exercise, just walking around the apartment ground. Afterwards, he went to the nearby market and bought some fruits, pieces of bread, and eggs. He also bought a carton of chocolate milk from the convenient store. He was preparing for breakfast.

As soon as he arrived home, he put away his purchase and headed to the bathroom for a shower. When he was all ready and dressed up, he came out from his room expecting his family to have already woken up. However, the apartment was still quiet.

Choi Byung Joon looked over at the closed door and checked the time again. It was a little over eight in the morning. He remembered his daughter saying that she had to go somewhere early today.

After a long minute of pondering, he finally decided to wake her up. He knocked on the door and waited for their respond or some movement from inside the room. Yet, even after knocking for the second time, there was still no answer. It was peacefully quiet.

He frowned. He had knocked quite soundly, yet it still did not affect them.

'Are they perhaps sick?' He thought.

Worrying, he opened the door and entered the room only to be stunned.

On the bed laid two adorable babies sleeping soundly with their mother in between them. Their two little hands were holding onto their mother's hems on both sides while they snuggled deeper into her embrace. It was as if the munchkins were trying to protect their mother within their small hands.

Byung Joon smiled as he looked at this adorably heart-warming scene in front of him. He didn't want to disturb them, so he turned around to leave.

Unfortunately, as he moved, he hit the small table beside his feet which had some books on top of it. The books fell to the ground with a series of a loud thud.

He became flustered immediately. He quickly bent down to pick them u. This was when he heard a small drowsy voice, "Grandpa?"

Byung Joon raised his head and saw the youngest son rubbing his eyes as he sat on the bed.

He smiled in a sorry manner. He went over and stroked Min Jun's little head. "Are you awake? Grandpa is sorry for disturbing your sleep."

Min Jun continued to rub his eyes. Then suddenly, he raised his arms. After not receiving anything, Min Jun tilted his head and asked him cutely, "Grandpa, no huggy-huggy?"

Invisible arrows pierced through his heart as Byung Joon looked down at his adorable grandson who still had his short arms open wide. He quickly lifted the tiny squishy ball into his arms.

Min Jun rested on his grandpa's shoulders as he mumbled happily, "Huggy-huggy..."

Tears of happiness welled up in his eyes. He could feel the softness and the weight of his grandson in his arms. He felt like dreaming. He had always been waiting for that future where he would be able to hug his grandson like this. Now, that future had arrived.

Morning came and he could easily go over to the room across his to watch both his daughter and grandchildren. When he saw them like this, he felt like it had been far too long.

This was Byung Joon first-ever morning with his family. And it was the most beautiful one he had ever had. The old man smiled and proceeded to hug his grandson tightly.

God knew how long he had waited for his grandsons to arrive here. From the moment they had been born, Byung Joon had only wanted to leave and appeared before his grandsons. Unfortunately, he couldn't because of financial reason. He also didn't want to leave any trail for his ex-wife to retrace.

So now, he could only promise to be there for his family in the future. Byung Joon looked down to find two sleepy black orbs staring at him. The other twin had awakened as well. He was sitting on the bed with a blank face.

Byung Joon smiled. He reached out to stroke Min Hyuk's head. "Do you also want a morning hug from grandpa?"

However, Min Hyuk just stared at him for a second before he shook his head. After that, he flopped down beside Shu Hwa and hugged her.

'I want mommy's hug only,' he thought to himself.

Upon feeling the sudden heaviness on her, Shu Hwa groaned and she opened her eyes. She was immediately greeted with two glistening pair of eyes which were looking at her worriedly.

"Mommy? Sorry, did I wake you up?" He asked.

Shu Hwa smiled in her sleepy state. She shook her head before she yanked her son into her embrace. Then, she began to shower him with morning kisses.

"No, you didn't, My Angel," Shu Hwa replied softly.

Min Hyuk blushed slightly at Shu Hwa's endearing call. However, his expression soon changed as he pursed his lips. He did wake his mommy up. He shouldn't have plopped on top of her like that. Mommy was always working tirelessly. So, Min Hyuk felt that even just five minutes more, if possible, he wanted his mommy to seize the chance to rest.

Looking at the little one's self-blamed expression, Shu Hwa couldn't help but giggle softly. She squeezed his caring son to her bosom and kissed his hair.

"It's okay. Mommy is not sleepy anymore. It's morning so, it's time to wake up."

Min Hyuk popped out his head from Shu Hwa's embrace, just in time to catch his mommy chuckling softly with happiness written all over her face. His lips couldn't help but lifted slightly as he watched his mommy.

'Yes. Happiness suits mommy very much.' Then, Min Hyuk continued to burrow his little head in his mommy's embrace.

Shu Hwa was enjoying the morning session of kiss and hug with her son when she suddenly sensed another presence. Shu Hwa glanced up to see her dad looking at her with gentle eyes. She was surprised to find her dad in her room, then she looked over to the clock and found that it was near nine in the morning.

She shot straight up, scaring the little guy who was in her arms.

"Sh*t! I'm late!"
