4 Mind tricks

I was sitting in level five with Wright, Smith, and the major, as more alien 'minions' as we nicknamed them streamed in from the vents. They simply met flamethrower turrets and a single smart turret we had set up as they were trapped behind the barricades over the vent and the conduits. The four of us had traveled between level six, five, and four as we set up turrets, barricades, and destroyed the systems defensive grid on those levels. While they are safe for now, their programming could be modified if the rebooting of the turrets is messed up.

Plus, it's kinda fun.

We were sitting there, the other three waiting to upgrade a few final parts of their guns, while I was waiting to get the final reboot of the weapons systems to fully reset it. I finally got it, yelling in joy, as we all cheered and swarmed the weapons dispenser. I then quieted down and said "And I am broke again and will have to wait to get another weapon." Wright groaned, knowing I would stick with my flamethrower for a while more, before buying a machine gun. The major bought a simple laser rifle for defense outside of his mechs, and Smith didn't get anything. They then went down to the weapons station that the major nicknamed 'The Bench'.

I quickly got a few thousand more credits due to my admittedly insane income at this point, and then bought my absolute dream weapon...

The Light Saber (AN: Credits go to Parasite Chaos, and their credits prolly go to star wars). A simple, nano molecular edged sword, coated in some super heated plasma stabilized through means I have no understanding of. It is amazing. It can cut through anything, burns at about two hundred degrees celcius when on, and it looks amazing. You can also chose it's color! I set mine to a dark grey, before going down to the bench.

Wright and Smith were arguing about the pulse rifle Smith grabbed, while the major was just upgrading his laser rifle. I went over and quietly stood next to the major, sharing work space as we both upgrade our weapons. He saw my saber, nodded in appreciation, and continued his work without saying anything.

I modified the grip, supercharged the plasma heaters, and did a few other things to make the saber even better. I finished up, told Wright and Smith to stop arguing, and we went on to level four to get the last of the upgrades there. Wright and Smith still hadn't noticed my new saber. I then looked at maj, who looked at me and then my saber, and we both grinned to each other, knowing what to do.

We then said nothing and continued on, like nothing was up. Just as we exited the elevator, the lighting suddenly went off, and our vision dropped dramatically. We then went to the upgrade room before pausing. I then said "Why aren't the turrets shooting anything?" Wright then slowly walked to the turrets and checked them, before coming back and saying "Their fine, in fact they have barely shot anything. The problem is nothing is coming out of the vents..."

We simply looked at each other before quietly stepping over to the upgrade station. I went to reset the final level of the medical systems, when I suddenly felt a massive spike of pain in my head, like someone had stabbed my brain. I fell over, grasping my head, before finally being unable to withstand the pain and started screaming. The other three all swarmed me, with Wright shaking me and saying something I couldn't hear, as my vision faded.

I opened my eyes, and freaked out when I couldn't see anything. I then... felt something behind me? I turned around and then saw black space with a large black hole with a disk of hot gas around it, swirling around and slowly filtering into the black hole. There was a whole galaxy it seemed, all clustered around in the gas disk. I then heard a strange noise, before my vision blacked out again.

I woke up, stood up, and found myself in the same room as I had started in, if now on a medical bed. The other three were all around me, and Wright then said "He's awake!" I then said "What happened?" they all looked around at each other, with Smith eventually saying "We have no idea whatsoever."

I stood up, and then noticed something incredibly odd. I felt slightly lighter and warmer, and when I focused on the warm feeling, I felt some sort of... something. I focused on that something, and suddenly my hand burst into flames, scaring all of us. The other three jumped back, and I started waving my hand while yelling. I then made a throwing motion on accident, and the flame on my hand flew off and exploded on the ground, coating a large area in bright, dark orange colored flames.
