9 Embarrassments

After an hour of preparation, Cindy was done with her appropriate look for the date. Her mom assured her that she can be the best and the gorgeous woman this night.

Fortunately, the head of the family wasn't home from his work yet. The other daughters was cheering for their oldest sister at her first romantic date. Some were teasing her especially her twins, Snow and Belle. Belle, probably knew the things happening because rumors flied around and maybe also outside the university.

She's quite popular in her generation and also in the older generation because of her achievements in a young age. Many people specially in the higher society that were anticipated every moved she made.

Sometimes it really got in her nerves that's why she developed a reserved attitude. She need to protect herself in any coming danger.

Cindy look at her image in the mirror and she can't expected herself to looked this glowing. She always wears many pretty dress but she looks like Ms. Minchin (1) or those typical villian in a drama.

"My genes never failed me" their mother commented and they all laughed.

After saying goodbyes to her family she drove her pumpkin to their meeting place. She parked her car to a nearby parking lot and walked at the Capital's famous baywalk.

Their were so many people in this place because this was a landmark and a tourist spot in the Capital City. Because of their dad's overprotectived tendencies they can't go to this kind of place.

She waited under a post and send a message to Cris. After a minute he found her and he happily approached her. Many people looked oddly at this two pair. A pretty sophisticated lady and a plain tall nerd guy.

A smile never fades at Cris' face the moment he saw her. "What a beautiful princess. I hope that this dream never last" he just said what in his mind.

She flushed out of embarrassment "Don't said it out loud" she told him.

"I'm just telling the truth" his sulking.

'Goddammit! While his acting like a bad dog right now. Argh! His so cute' she's talking to herself.

"Fine, but minimize your voice. Your embarrassing us" she's explaining.

"Nope I'am not. Hmmm, I really just want to show off my beautiful date and how lucky I'am to with her" he sweetly said to her and flashes from behind him a bouquet of colorful and beautifully arranged orchids flowers.

She can't hide her flushed face as she got the flowers. It was a pretty flower and she really liked the orchids because of their aunt and her mother whom they've considered as a grandmother.

Many people were catching glances at them. Some were flattered, some were odd expressions. "O-okay, I got it. Can we just proceed to our date" she desperately wanted to got away from this unexpected embarrassment.

"As you wish, my lady" he gladly said and offer his arm for her.

She shly hooked her arms to his then he lead the way. At first, she was so skeptical about this new scenario that she witnessed right at this moment. About this crowded place that his father avoided the most.

But seeing what it looked liked with her very own eyes were amazing and Cris whose with her was doing his best to provide him with assurance and comfort. They roamed around the baywalk and watched the beautiful city lights and the bay itself at the night

Not so far away from the bay, there were a lot of stores that was made by tents. There were for clothes, toys and stuffs and most importantly the foods. They stopped at the tent that was opened air and you can clearly saw the beauty of the bay in a distance.

As the two of them entered, a gullible man approached them. "My man, Cris! I'm so glad you made it here. You got a beautiful lady here. You're the best man" he said to Cris while tapping his arms and smiling generously.

"I told you, I'm not joking around" he proudly said. "By the way pops! This is the woman I really liked and love Ms. Cinderella Bathala" and he introduced het with a boastful look and voice like he won something big at an event.

"She's a Bathala! God have mercy! You-" the guy can't finished his words because of the uttered surprise he listened.

"My lady, he is Samuel Cruz my dad's best friend and I also called him pops" he gently introduced the man to her.

She can't blamed the guy for remaining in this state because of her family's name. They were considered a noble in this country. The elite family of the highest society.

"I'm so glad to meet you Sir Samuel Cruz" she politely replied and presenting her hand of a handshake.

Without second thought, Samuel gently and happily reached her hand and shaked it. "I'm so honored to meet you Ms. Bathala. This a dream come true for a common man like me" he said.

She smiled at him for a replied but Cris broke their handshake and glared at Samuel. Then he hold her hand and hooked it in his arms.

"That's it pops. She is my date tonight for your information" he was pissed.

This made Samuel laughed so hard. "Oh my God, I can't believe you've grown up to be a fine man now Momo boy. Now, stop that jealousy of yours and go to your table" he pushed slightly to leaved.

They ended up in the only table outside the store. He pulled a chair for her to seated down.

As made herself comfortable she watched him and asked herself 'Is he really jealous?'

Recalling his acted made her heart beat pumped a little wild. Her whole being right now was a eureka! New things was discovered. She felt that this guy in front of her can digged something more hidden inside her.
