Two Messages

Secretary Rong was given the right to speak in the spotlight. He said all he knew including how the plan had been executed.

Looking at between Kang Zhi and Secretary Rong Elder Kang said, "So you're saying that you did this for the good of the family?"

Secretary Rong did not make a move to nod or shake his head. Instead he said, "I was just abiding by the wishes of the Kang's. Both Feng Zhengyi and Kang Zhi wanted Kang Jun to be the heir. So did Mo Ruyi and Kang Mu. Even you, Guanting, you knew Kang Jun's potential as the heir. No matter what Kang Jun was going to be heir and something worse that this would have happened for this to come about..."

Kang Zhi frowned. "That's true... before my acccident some of my security detail had informed me that our shareholders and family members were becoming concerned with the succession war and that some where going to take matters into their own hands. Now, everything is simpler...Most people agreed that Jun should be the rightful heir...."

Kang Jun didn't argue with Kang Zhi's logic at first. Everyone had the right to believe whatever they wanted but as Kang Jun thought for a moment, he felt a pitch blackness creeping up on his soul. Why did everyone think it best for him to be the heir? He tried hard to be a good worker but all that effort didn't do much because it only caused him strife.

After this, Secretary Rong explained more of the Plan. The plan itself was simple. They just needed to force Kang Zhi to commit a mistake and this meant drugging him. Lu AnLing being drugged on that night was just a mere coincidence but it was a useful one.

At first, Secretary Rong had hired Anna, who, at the time had still been heartbroken that Kang Zhi had broken up with her and had decided to marry Qiao Lan, and so, it was easy to manipulate her into helping.

"Why Anna..." Kang Zhi asked a bit harshly. "She didn't deserve to be used like that!"

As he spoke, Kamg Zhi felt his heart break. This was exactly why Anna had killed herself. That night at Hotel Helios had taken too much of a toll... Kang Zhi blamed himself, but if he could find another to blame he would. Misery truly liked company.

Looking at the man, Secretary Rong sighed. "The girl had been close to you once upon a time. You spent all your time with her as you were growing up. I saw your falling out when you announced to her that you would be marrying Qiao Lan and so, I thought she could be a useful asset. I would never force anyone, surely not a woman, to help me. When I came to her, she accepted without a second thought."

Hearing this, Kang Zhi clenched his fist. He had hurt Anna that day. He knew this. But at that point in time, Kang Zhi had only wanted to make sure to allow Kang Jun some freedom. Back then, Feng Zhengyi was already working on finding a suitable marriage partner for Kang Jun in order for him to have the upper hand on Kang Zhi. Back then, Feng Zhengyi wanted someone who she could use. A person with a good background who could get Kang Jun the title of heir and then she would get rid of them but Kang Zhi had felt as if Kang Jun hadn't lived as of yet and he knew that Feng Zhengyi was only hurrying so that Kang Zhi himself couldn't succeed at heir. So, To try to delay Kang Jun's binding, he decided to get married to Kang Jun's potential partner Qiao Lan, who loved him, on impulse.

But it was only after he had announced the decision that he had realized that he had sacrificed his possible happiness with Anna as a result.

Secretary Rong, Kang Jun and Elder Kang noticed Kang Zhi's sickly expression but Secretary Rong did not allow anyone else to speak, just yet.

"I was just doing what was right for the family. That included hidding the identities of both Miss Mei Xue and Master Mingyu's mother's after the fact. Feng Zhengyi's orders to me were simple, I had to ruin Kang Zhi's personal image within the family."

"Then did you, on Zhengyi's orders, arrange for Zhi's death!?" Elder Kang asked harshly, almost screaming.

Hearing this, Secretary Rong shook his head and Feng Zhengyi suddenly exploded.

"How dare you imply that! I've never ordered at actual attempt on Kang Xhi's life!" Feng Zhengyi screamed.

The woman was furious. So many things were being put upon her shoulders and she didn't know how to get herself out of it but suddenly, Mo Ruyi spoke.

"That was Elder Qiao's doing." Mo Ruyi said simply. As she said this, her eyes were focused on Elder Kang who's face paled. "Because Kang Zhi commited adultry, Elder Qiao took it upon himself to kill Kang Zhi."

Hearing this, Elder Kang's face turned completely dark and then he slammed his cane on the flour almost shattering it to pieces.

"That bastard! I'll kill him!" Elder Kang screamed loudly.

Hearing this, Kang Jun shook his head.

"He's already being dealt with." Kang Jun said coldly. He then turned to Qiao Lan and sighed, "I'm giving you my sympathies."

Meanwhile, As they spoke, at the hospital a nurse entered Elder Qiao's room as he slept soundly. Suddenly, she reached for his IV drip and stuck a needle in it and then she slowly pushed on the end of the needle, allowing a clear liquid to enter the small tube.

As soon as she did this, Elder Qiao suddenly awoke. Seeing the woman hovering above him with a needle, the man jolted up.

"You! You can't be in here! Get out!" The old man screamed.

Hearing this, the woman frowned. "I'm sorry Elder Qiao but I have two messages for you, from Kang Jun."
