6 Mutants' Fury and Nick's Thoughts

"Nick!" Alexis and Lorna screamed out at the same time. Lorna set Stella down and began to fly toward the wreckage. Alexis's target was different.

The Asian woman began shifting forms. She started growing taller and purple scales began to grow on her body. Her nose began to elongate, claws grew and got sharper, and she grew a pair of horns. She had become a dragon woman. Alexis was a shifter and feral mutant.

Alexis's eyes focused on the forest where she saw the rocket come from and charged toward it. Bullets began hitting her skin but they bounced off. Even the assault rifles they had were useless as the bullets bounced off her skin.

"There is an attack! To me, my X-Men!" Scott called out.

As soon as the words came out of his mouth, the mutants were active. The weaker mutants or those with less offensive powers got the children together and brought them down to the basement for safety. Those who were trained in combat were jumping out the building, ready to rush into battle. Those that were bulletproof or resistant were in the lead while those that were more fragile stayed behind them as they closed the gap.

The battle had officially begun.

Lorna arrived at the wreckage to see Nick's body had already healed back up. She was surprised to see that his mutation was still active. She, like everyone else, thought he had lost his powers during M-Day.

"Nick. You're..."

"Not now. Gonna slaughter!" Nick looked at his wrecked bike and instantly felt pissed. He was more angry about the bike than the fact that someone had just tried to kill him.

Nick kicked off the ground and made a small crater as he dashed toward the forest. By the time he arrived, he saw that he was the second person to arrive to the party. Alexis was already there, breaking bones and tearing people apart with her claws.

But he didn't care. He wanted revenge.

Nick jumped in the air before surrounding his leg with telekinetic energy. When he landed on the ground, a shockwave sent most of the men flying. But he didn't stop.

He surrounded both of his hands with telekinetic energy before rushing around and cutting the men apart with his hands.

The next to arrive were Logan and his daughter/clone, Laura. Both of them did not hesitate to start attacking as well with their metal claws. Thanks to their healing factors, they were able to fight without worrying about bullets and flamethrowers.

By the time the other mutants and members of O*N*E arrived, the fight was pretty much over. The group of 4 had managed to kill nearly all 100 of the attackers, leaving only the few that looked like leaders alive for questioning.

And alive might have been a slight exaggeration. Each of them was missing at least one limb and had several deep cuts in their bodies.

"That's enough!" Scott said unnecessarily. It was clear that the squad was done with their attack. But Nick did not like being told what to do.

Nick looked at Scott defiantly before he pulled out his knife and slit his own throat. 3 of the 5 captives also have their throats slit at the same time, causing them to fall to the ground as they began choking on their own blood.

Cyclops and the others looked at Nick in fear. Many people wished that Nick was one of the mutants that lost his mutation and this was why. His powers were downright terrifying.

Not only did he have a healing factor that surpassed Wolverine and Deadpool, but he also had the ability to share his wounds with others. This made him impossible to kill and dangerous to capture without harming oneself.

And those were just his mutant abilities. His Inhuman DNA gave him a nearly superhuman body as well as telekinesis and telepathy. He was an all-arounder that was very dangerous to go against.

Once the men on the ground stopped making sounds, Nick put away his blade while looking Scott in the eye the entire time.

"I am not one of your X-Men, Summers. It would be best to remember that," Nick said before wrapping his body in telekinetic energy and taking to the sky.

They watched him leave without being able to say anything or have the nerve to stop him. What he did made most of them freeze in fear or respect.

Nick's flight back to the city wasn't too long but the entire time, a pair of green eyes would not leave his thoughts.

'No, Nick! It's better this way. You know you wouldn't be a good father for her,' he told himself the same thing he always told himself

Only 2 weeks after the incident when he was 16, Nick and Lorna found out that she was pregnant. Nick told her to get rid of it but she wouldn't listen and ended up giving birth to the girl 9 months later. That was how Stella came into the world.

And at first, it was fine enough. Sure, he had to deal with his and Lorna's family's pressure. The wrath of Magneto was one thing that most people did not want to be on the wrong side of but Nick was at a point where he didn't care about anything. So the situation just resulted in Lorna taking Stella back to Genosha.

When the Genosha massacre happened, Lorna was visiting the Institute so luckily, she and Stella were able to avoid the attack. But even though they managed to escape it, they no longer had a home to go back to. So the pair ended up staying at the Institute with Nick's family. Which was why he hadn't visited the Institute in so long.

After 30 minutes of flying, Nick got back to his place before ordering a new bike online. He then went to his room to put on some new clothes and pass out in bed.
