1 The New Arrival

The empire was loosing the war in front of the enemies. With the lack of stability in politics in the palace and the though the dramas played by the politicians was ended by the empire ,queen and the loyal supporters the lack of focus on their security has made this horrible situation in the war. Each day the palace was ringed with bad news. The emperors illness got worse giving more strength to the enemy. Though the queen kept on with the duties the strength of the empire's security weakened.peoples life got poorer. They started giving up hope. Food went down. People became sick. The war has effected everything. The sales, transportation, foreign support. The land of dragons has started to fade. Their fame has begun to die all around the world. More and more lives were lost from the war. Their liberty strained. The Grate Nation still has to face it.

Empress summoned their final hope . The Commander "MING-ZENG"(clever) who has been servicing the empire ,who always proved loyalty to the emperor came to her to give his final salute to the queen, announcing that he'll be leaving to night to the grounds of war for the Final Battle and asked to leave the palace with the emporer and the little crown prince if they fail in the battle. As they were discussing on the empire's security, the the second major to Cornel Bojan who was incharge of the palace's security, came running towards them panting and bowed.

"Speak, is something wrong ?" the queen demanded. "Your highness a lady who claims to be the daughter of the lost empire has arrived with a letter with the Lost Emporer 's writings."

Queen and the commander both lost words at that statement. The surrounding clouded with dought, a new knowledge to deal with after a long time in this palace other than just about the war. "Who?", the queen questioned. "The princess your highness. The daughter of the lost empires first Queen. Her highness was abandoned from our lands for twenty years with her child by the emporor. Thats all i know. Thats what Cornel Bojan said to inform your highness. Also said that she wishes to speak to your highness as soon as possible on the empire's security. She says that she could get help."

"If its the cornel who sent you this cant be a play.. But what Writings?"the commander asked.

"Sir it seems like the lost emporer has accepted her comeback at the end of the punished time period before passing away in the letter shes bairing." The major replied. With that reply the commander bowed the queen and stepped towards the gate to deal with the new news. Yet the Queens words paused him.

"You keep on with your work commander. I will speak with her. And i want to know Who this PRINCESS is. And what shes truelly here for. And im pretty sure that i can handle her. And if this is just a joke you dont have time for these things.

Please make sure that you get well prepared for the war. Since still 'You' are our nations only HOPE."the queen said and fastened her steps towards the gate.

Though the commander himself was curious on this matter obeyed the Queens order and returned back to the quarters focusing on the ongoing fatal status of the war.

Queen came to the lodge of the palace's security devision. At her presence the cornel hurried to her and bowed and said that the so called princess is in the meeting room which was right infront of them. Her brain started to work on this new information. She entered.

A woman dressed in a fine light blue dress had a cover over her face which hang fron the hat she was wearing was standing near the table in the room, still not aware of the Queens presence seemed to be processing her thoughts on something important.

Her taste in fashion showcased her young spirits. The patterns decorated her dress were new yet were so beautiful and so charm.

Who is she? Is this a new play by Minister Choi.

If she is the princess, if she have come for help now,

why not before. What does she want?... How can she get help? .....from whom. Is this a trick? And what about these writings....even as i arrived here from Goryeo the last emporer was already dead... and why didnt even my husband ,the emporer hasnt ever mentioned her before?

I ll have to start with this.....

"So the 'PRINCESS' , aren't you?", the queen finally announced her arrival in her most sarcastic yet elegant tone, to the new role.

The woman turned towards her swiftly and without any kind of paniced gesture she bowed and moved her hand to remove her cover.

The queen kept her eyes glued to her covers to see her face. Does she look like the emporer?

She took off her covers and straightened herself eyecontacing the Queen.

"Your highness, Its a pleasure to meet you, even in such a chaos. Please forgive me for being late and thankyou for coming here. I m here to gain your Trust ", she stated in a clean clear careful manner.

Her voice embroided trust and power inside the queen.

The queen sighed in a surprised manner and smiled behind her mind at herself for feeling trust already on her, infront of her bravery showed to the Empress and the perfect matched beauty of her.

Her eyecontact was astonishing. They hold strength and truth. Yet her respectable manner didnt truely go with what she asked for.TRUST....?

Actually I feel a fool of myself as the empress to trust her. She has huge black eyes glittering with truth and shined out her inner child. The only feature resembling the empire is her sharp nose which magnifies her young spirit. Cant blame it cause they are from two mothers though the same father. She looks about five years younger to me. Should be like twenty one. Looks intelligent and majestic. Her complextion isnt ordinary. Atleast not fully chinese. Fair yet gold like tone brightned her skin. Her hair wasnt that straight like mine. So not Goryeon either.Her long hair starts straight but ends up with a huge wave. Yet everything just matches perfectly to her. She looks PERFECT. She should look like her mother. And of course theirs no magic in it since ive heard that she was the emporer's first love. Though i dont know about how she got the punishment i dont think this young lady deserves it. So lets first listen to her story.

The empress took the centre seat of the table. "Take a seat and make sure i believe your tale," empress kept her voice steady though her hunger to know everything aroused.

"Your highness?" .

"Sit , and first tell me who you are, where were you, about the letter, and how can you help us? Speak truth."

The princess bowed and took a seat right opposite to queen.

"I dont know whether your highness will believe me but ill speak the truth as much as possible. The name given by the emporer is Huwan u-wei(happiness) . I was here at my father's death and thats when the emporer gave me these writings. Please observe them. And ...........

The queen read the letter with the royal seal plasted at the bottom and saw most of what she is saying is true and kept listening to her story where each and everything seemed unbelievable but also not impossible and her eyes assured them.

After the long conversation the empress went back to her chambers and summoned back the Commander. This time with great delight for the new advancement which can be achieved through the new princess.

"Your majesty, the commander Ming zeng has arrived," a servant in her chambers announced.

"Let him enter,"empress said while being seated without delay.

The commander entered, saluted and sat on the cushion layed on the ground infront of the empress.

"Your highness it should be about the princess for sure," the commanders statement was agreed by the empress with a slight nod.

"Actually more than that i wanted to announce that we will get a whole army with 8000 men for support."

"Your majesty? I beg your pardon!" The commanders eyes popped out with surprise with disbelief.

The empress was enjoying his reactions. For her every thing went step by step. But this knowledge for him right now was impossible.

"Yes, you heard it clear."

The commander's mind studied her for more knowledge.

"So its true that she is the princess and she can get help. But how your majesty?"

"We had a long discussion. However she'll get help from the Japanese Emperor. The matter is that they will need 5 more days to reach us. Ànd the other news is that until that time for our survival she says that she is capable of bringing a squad of 800 men from our people and from the goryeons out of the main cities.from the rural states, by tommorrow." She expressed her words with pleasure.but added with concern,

"And also since its her men whose gonna participate she asked permission for herself to join since her allies will only work under her commands. I think Huwan u-wei, i mean the princess she has some good sense and some skills cause its not easy to raise an army and she do have some experiences. So would you mind her order at the war. But dont worry She'll be second in command to you.but only to you. I know im playing a huge game with trust. But you are allowed to take decisions on her. If you sesnse all wrong i wont judge your decisions. However She'll need your support cause im sure you re aware that few of your fellow generals dislike women's accompaniment in things like these. " The empress expressed all what she wanted carefully focusing on the commanders expressions.

The comander progressed the new information carefully with sense ,surprise ,curiosity .

"Your majesty ill take care of the princess's security at the war. The main thing is the security of the empire. Ill support her as much as i can cause Im at your service. But can you trust ,your majesty?" His facial expression rose with suspition.

"I do trust her," the empress went back to her thoughts.

Of course the commander trusts and respects the empress. Also know that her decisions has never gone wrong. Her confidence and maturity always advanced their safeguard in the war though their fall was too harsh on them.

"Im sure about it since its you your highness has spoke to her and i do respect your trust on the princess, but Japanese people? Can they be trusted. Can we take that risk. Also for free without any agreement or prize will they fight by our side? It should be a miracle if they are changed."

The queen drew a strange mix on her face with suspition, intelligence.she went back through the tale princess brought out, their current situation and about the japanese. But again her posture recovered with confidence and maturity. Her slight smile decorated her face.

"What your saying is true commander. Its true they have their wishes of their own. If we win or not, we'll have to give them 500 tons of rice per month for six months. Its true that its also something for us in this status but i think its a friendly request or a chance for them to get help instead of begging from us as they care so much about their dignity. We all know that they have lost a noticable harvest, food supply due to the bug diseases flamed last few months...... May be their are secret intentions behind but with all the princess explained and our ongoing status we better take a risk."

Its true. We have no other option. Something is better than nothing. I just hope this PRINCESS could be trusted. I do trust her highness but will my fellow people trust the princess. A new challenge. Im looking forward for this princess. Who is she?whats her tale? Hope the empress hasnt got anything wrong. .....' Huwan u wei ', 'happiness', a women at war. A commander for 700 men. Intresting.i wish i could trust her. Still hope. I cant let our nation down. Risks should also be taken.

"Your highness did you inform his majesty about her arrival." The queen looked concern again.

"No. Not yet. Cause as she said they havent even met before. They are only aware that they exist. No wonder his majesty spoke a word of her. They might have their own sibling problems too. Also since his highness is still not fit enough to work with such a knowledge. So first thing first. Ill make sure that hell get to know when he is atleast capable of making himself seated properly."

"Yes. your majesty, it sounds wise enough of you. So when will the Princess join us with her Army?"

"I almost forgot. She said that she'll leave with you today itself to the fields and her 700 men will join youll at the beginning of the mountains so they could straight away join to your camps on top. Shell be ready at the palace's main gate by the second hour of the night. Also asked you to make your soldiers aware few hours before your arrival about her troup being our allies to prevent from unwanted misunderstandings and trouble."

"I ll send a messenger your majesty. May i leave your highness my troup attending me tonight should be adviced."

"You may leave."

The commander stood and saluted the empress to leave.

"We all rely on you commander. Good luck!". The commander bowed again and marched back to work on the new situation.
