invasion (part four)
the castle trembled in such a way that it seemed that the chandeliers would fall at any second, the door flew out and a Cyclops appeared growling "fire" the aim of the soldiers who remained next to iris was terrible it was lucky that two arrows arrived directly at the eye and knock him down on the skeletons that were behind him
even so the skeletons continue advancing at a faster pace than iris forces could contain, after 8 minutes they had overcome all the barriers "swords out" iris did not see a skeleton that was placed behind her, but she was saved by ratley who arrived by firing his arrows like a mad beast
"Ratley how is the evacuation going?"
"We found a tunnel that was dug by prisoners, it will take time but we can make it"
the nine continued fighting for about forty minutes, iris could not continue so she decided to use her trump card "at my signal run to the interior salons" she raised her right arm and one by one she saw some of her feathers turned into dust. The enemies stopped moving, iris did not believe it and muttered to herself "you could have told me before" everyone was stunned and then ratley shouted "I don't know what's happening but we got to get out of here"
"tch ... I was not informed that a bunch of useless people like you could create something like this" a hooded man moved among the skeletons, he had white hair and violet eyes, his clothes corresponded to the stereotypes of bandits
"yder's ghost" said a soldier
"by your nickname, you must be the one who left me like a mummy" iris took her weapon and pointed it to the head of her new guest
Ratley threw a red crystal "We can not afford to lose a single second" Iris run away with her companions, with a feeling of frustration and hope knowing that she had a way of fighting against the General who had humiliated her but she no longer had the element of surprise . They arrived at the prison where there were still some soldiers waiting for them, they entered a narrow tunnel and they walked for about an hour
"Whoever digs this tunnel put too much effort into it" Iris complains
Once they were all outside, Ratley set fire to a wick that ended in a barrel of powder, thus covering the tunnel through which they had left. Once the smoke dispersed iris and her company were inside in a burned forest
Now that I wonder where all the powder barrels came from?"
"Losstine castle, in that place they use guns and Cannons, that I know is the last stand that can give war to yder"
"Great, we should keep moving"
"No, we will camp here, some soldiers have brought blankets, if we distribute them well ,it should be enough for all"
Once all was settled, ratley made his man take turns guarding the camp
iris opened her eyes again and a small light was in front of her, * acquired achievement: leader * she was confused, after losing herself in her thoughts she sighed "right, I also have a life here"
