Chapter 31: The Great Earthquake.

Headmaster Tenjin was sitting in his office, indulging himself with a nice cup of tea. Slowly he brought up his cup and took a sip, a sigh of fresh relief left his mouth as he took another sip.

"It's truly fulfilling to have a nice cup of tea after finishing a bunch of paperwork. Now I just hope my first day won't be too chaotic." He said hopefully and like someone slapping him in the face immediately after an earth shaking explosion occurred.

The floor he was standing on wobbled and shook, he immediately got up from his seat and leaned on the wall so that he wouldn't fall off.

"What in the name of the great primordial is going on!?" He cried in frustration. Then he snapped his finger teleporting to where the explosion occurred and saw a huge crater that looked liked an empty lake in the middle of the field where Professor Kishimoto and his student is supposed to use at this time period.

He located the source of the explosion and saw Marcus slowly and coolly walking away from the explosion as if it was from a movie and a huge groan of frustration escaped his mouth.

"Oh God….. it's the new student isn't it?" He tiredly complained.

"I would be needing an explanation from you later Professor." Then he conveyed his message to Professor Kishimoto who was still dazed from the violent show of power from Marcus.

He snapped his finger once again returning to his office and when he came back his face was full of grim and despair when he saw his premium jasmine tea spilled on the floor.

"I need a vacation." He said frustratedly and grabbed a new paper to prepare for the paper works for the construction of the destroyed field.

Harumi was in the class with her best friend Yuki and her boyfriend Taku next to her seat. The first class of the day just finished and they were now on the second class which is about to finish in about a few minutes.

She was deep in thought when suddenly Taku placed his hands on her forehead and spoke.

"Hey Haru, you've been dazed since morning, are you okay?" Taku asked worriedly and affectionately. Harumi yelped in surprise and stuttered.

"I-I'm okay Taku-kun." She replied smiling.

"Are you sure? We can go to the clinic if you're not," Said Taku.

"No… I'm okay… just feeling under the weather, no need to make a fuss about it," She said to Taku. Then when she looked at the hands on her forehead there was something in her heart that felt empty.

If back then she would be flustered and happy when Taku would make such a move now it just felt empty.

Then as she was deep in her thoughts suddenly a huge flash of light emerged from the field outside that was supposed to be occupied by Class 1, Year 1.

She along with all of her classmates shielded their eyes from the flash bang but the worse has yet to come.

*BOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!*

Immediately after an earth shattering explosion resounded like an angry God, it almost ruptured their ear. If they were ordinary mortals then they would've gotten their ears destroyed. After the horrific explosion another disaster followed as the floor and building they stood on started to shake for

The earthquake that was caused by the powerful explosion.

"Greater Protection!" Their Professor shouted with all of his might, and then from his hands dozens of blue bubbles came out and enveloped each and every student protecting them from the impact caused by the aftermath of the terrifying explosion.

'What in the world is happening!?' Haruhi screamed in her mind.

But then when she remembered that Marcus's class was supposed to be happening there, they knew it since Marcus showed them his timetable and his subject right now is supposed to be Mystic Class and the professor there always conducts his first class in the field. A deep dread invaded her heart. She immediately drowned in worry thinking that Marcus was in danger, when she thought about how she was worried about Marcus more than Taku she felt ashamed of herself.

The shaking of the ground continued on for about two minutes, and when the shaking stopped all of them plopped to the ground and heaved a huge sigh of relief. Thankfully no one was injured due to the Professor acting fast.

"Yuki! Harumi! Are you two okay!?" Without even giving himself a thought, or even checking if he's injured, Taku came to the two and checked if they were okay.

The two nodded and he heaved a huge sigh of relief.

"Thank god, you two are okay," He said with a smile, then he stood up after checking both of them and peeked through the window to see what's happening and from afar there they saw it, a huge gaping hole akin to a dried up lake in the middle of the field.

"Are we being attacked?" One of the students asked worriedly.

The Professor answered.

"I don't know, if we are indeed being attacked then Headmaster Tenjin would've informed all of the faculty staff to evacuate you all," Then he looked at his class and said.

"Class officers, follow me, we'll soon find out what is happening here," He walked out the door with five students behind him, all of them heading to the Field to figure out what was going on.

"Isn't Marcus scheduled to be there right now!?" Yuki-chan, the cute cat girl, asked with deep worry.

"Oh shit!" Taku cursed.

"Right, we should go there right now!" He said and walked out of the door with Harumi, Yuki and other curious students.

After they walked out they soon found themselves at the field where almost all of the Professor from Kijin Academy gathered around.

Harumi's eyes scanned the crowd and when she saw Marcus standing and all okay she felt a huge burden on her back get lifted. As if a huge boulder was removed from her back.

She, along with Taku and Yuki, ran towards Marcus and immediately bombarded him with questions.

"Are you okay!?" Yuki asked with teary eyes.

"Are you injured!?" Taku asked like a concerned older brother.

"Did something bad happen to you!?" And Harumi inquired like a worried lover.

"I'm okay guys, I'm sorry for causing such a fuss I didn't expect it to be that strong." Marcus spoke and the three was caught off guard.

'Wait!? Did he caused this?!'

'Horrrryyyy sheeeeet!!'
