11 Chapter Ten: Buh-Bye School

"You sure about this? I know you're strong but to do monster hunting?" Lou says as I chuckle, so worried. Yeah I told her what I was doing, I'd rather her not follow me or I'M me wondering where I'm at.

Daedalus' training schedule did wonders to my stats, while also giving me some tools to help me on my hunting trips. One was a badass white cloak that made my voice unrecognizable and was resistant to most elements, made with my new enchantments and Daedalus' skill in weaving.

Next was a cool medieval sword that was apparently dipped in some ancient river and can harm monsters and mortals. I had it in a scabbard on my back as to draw it with ease, I could always use my inventory but I don't want anyone else knowing about the system, not after my risky partnership play.

Finally he gave me a compass that would always point to my greatest desire, apparently it belonged to some cool pirate. I decided to put it in the system as to not lose it, noticing my hesitation it became summonable which was amazing.

I realize I've been silent for a bit and decided to talk while we walk to the entrance of school, I told Percy and Grover, both were disappointed I wasn't staying the whole year but I told them I'd stay in contact.

I also met Chiron who seemed nice enough, also vey wise. I also got to use my new skill from my Labyrinth quest, Observe. It allows me to see the status of another person, thing, or place which was an absolute god send.

Anyway, Daedalus also found that I should put points in Cha, Wis, Int, and Luc as they were extremely important right now. Cha and Luc can help with getting allies for my conquest and overall status, Wis and Int will help with anything that requires my brain, which is a lot.

Cool thing was I got a perk when they reached 100, which sent Daedalus into another brainstorm, so far my luc perk hasn't helped much as it boosts chances of monster drops by 15%. Cha though gives me a 5% to all rep gains which is great long-term. Int and Wis allowed me to memorize most information and think about two things at once, like how I'm talking and thinking right now.

Oh yeah, heres comparison of Chiron and I.

A whole lot of nothing, I had asked the system just for it to tell me observe's level is to low. I mean at least I see his Cha and Luc but come on! I had checked Lou's and Percy's as well. Lou's was interesting with her Mag being 80 like mine, but as a Demi-God of a minor god, despite Hecate being a titan, maybe because she's considered a Minor God? It's 140.

Percy's was averaged at 12 for most so he's about as strong as an adult, with his magic being 50 for some reason, and his luck 80, but what was surprising was he had a two times multiplier which meant he must be a son of Poseidon as he's the only Major God of the Sea in the Greek Pantheon.

I paused and focused as I see we reached the entrance of the academy, Lou notices and stops too. I hold out my hand for her to shake as she takes it.

"Maybe I'll see you soon, but until then I'm off. See ya." I said, as I exited the academy. I take a few turns as I see Daedalus standing their being inconspicuous. I make my way over to him as he looks up from his newspaper.

"You ready?" He asks as I nod, I watch as he puts his hand on the ground and the earth splits as I see a new entrance into the Labyrinth. I look at him with questioning eyes.

"Your gonna close this when we're gone right? I'd rather not have Lou or Chiron figure out there's a entrance in the area, if they haven't already found the one in the bathroom." I ask as he waves his hand.

"Yes I will, I doubt he found it as he didn't notice the entrance that had opened into his camp a few years back." He said as my eye's widen. He has access to the camp? Does that mean I can bypass the border?

I put that on my back burner as I enter the maze with it's creator, we appear in the workshop as I quickly swap to my workout clothes, ready to increase my training. I see Daedalus walk towards some stack of books, I think 3? Written in some language.

As I look closer I pause, why do the books look like the observe book I had? As I go to question it he picks them up and hands them to me with a smug smile. No seriously, how had he gotten skill books?

"I found them in my library, I found these a long time ago and I couldn't make out what the text said despite my best efforts in trying. But then I saw you pull out that book from your inventory and I immediately noticed it was just like this one, but with different gibberish written on it." He says as I realize something.

'System, did you gives these to him or were there-' Before I could ask a notification hap already popped up, the answer gave me plenty to think about.

[No they weren't given, do you really think you were the first gamer? Of course the last one died a long with the one before that but thats beside the point, and before you ask no, there aren't any other gamers alive at the moment, there can only be one gamer.]

"Phew." I let out the breath I was holding, I really don't want competition from another gamer so I'm happy at the outcome. But if gamers had appeared before then I can improve their exploits and take them for myself.

I do a quick observe on the books as I learn ones a forging skill book, useful, another cooking, not bad, and the final book wasn't a skill book but instead a guide to elemental magic. Woah, that's gotta be my luck showing right now.

I absorb the two skill books and put the guide in my inventory, I can deal with that in my free time. I thank Daedalus and walk to his new gym area, fitted to make me grow stronger. The area has heavier weights and a few enchantments that increase the gravitational pull to make everything heavier.

I train as I remember my next goal at the moment, monster hunting. I smirk a little at the thought. All those times I was called crazy and weird, all because of the monsters. I think some payback is overdue.

'You fucked up my life, now it's time for me to return the favor. Assholes.'
