7 Chapter Seven: The Labyrinth

"Man, I don't think I'll ever get over the mana drain." I said as I sat on my bed, Lou looking at me with pride.

[Ping!]

[For exhausting your mana multiple times and casting plenty of spells you've gained +5 Mag!]

[You've gained +1 Level in Magical Armor, Magic Control, and Meditation.]

[You've learned a new skill!]

"Not bad, I've only been teaching you for a week and you've made a strong armor of magic, and thats not even including the progress you've made in enchanting." Lou Ellen said as I sit down and review my stats.

I sigh in content at my status, I've had the system for almost a month and I am already 3 times stronger than the average human. I don't have a solid way to gauge someone else's status but so far thanks to Lou and the tier system I've been able to figure out that most of them are around 25-40 range.

She says that I'm about as strong as a Son of Ares and as smart as some of Athena's younger children, and since the tier system says that Demi-Gods that are children of Major Gods have a 2 times multiplier I just multiply their base stats, leaving me to guess the average camper's base stats is around 27.

While training I've been thinking about the tier system and see multiple ways to get stronger, eating an Apple of Immortality from Hera's Garden being one of them. I asked the system and figured out that Partial immortality gives me the same boost as a Demi-God of a Minor God which is 1.75x.

"I'll leave you to your devices for now, I'm going to check on Percy." She said before leaving my dorm, oh yeah she met Percy so she didn't have to keep using the mist. I decide to meditate while looking at my skills.

'I really need to level this up.'I thought. Enchantments weren't easy to learn when your penmanship is bad, but in the end I managed to learn a few. I wonder what to do when I remember that I could check out the Labyrinth.

I had discreetly asked Lou about it and she said to navigate it you'd either have to use Ariadne's string, or a clear sighted mortal. Though she did tell me to use caution should I ever find an entrance.

I got off my bed as I left my dorm, walking to the bathroom with the Labyrinth. While walking I get a notification from the system, a new quest it seems.

[Ping!]

[You've received a new Quest!]

[Quest: Map it Out!

Map out the entire Labyrinth

Time Limit: None

Rewards: Title, 1,000,000 Xp, Skill Book, Legendary Item, New Quest Line

Y/N]

I pause and go over the quest, most think the Labyrinth is continuously growing so either the quest is bullshit or they're wrong. There's no time limit and those rewards look juicy, but is it legit.

'System, isn't the Labyrinth endless? Continuously growing?' I ask as a new window appears.

[Is earth endless? No, that's your answer.]

'Woah, moody much? Whatever, so yeah it can be mapped out.' I accept the quest, what? It clearly can be mapped out, regardless of how long it takes I'll get to it one day. I file the quest away for later as I arrive at the entrance.

I push my hand against it and ignore the recommended level, if I'm as strong as most Demi-Gods at the camp I should be fine for a while, at least before something like the Minotaur shows up.

I see the Delta sign, I learned it from Lou, sink into the wall as it splits open with a staircase going down. Strangely I feel nothing wrong or different, that was until I looked around me once I descended.

I see colors everywhere, well on the floor is more like it. I look at a ground and can immediately tell where it leads to. Left lead me to Colorado, right leads me to a trap, with forward taking me deeper in the Labyrinth.

I go forward as I see the different pictures on the wall before I pause.

'System, can you make me a mini-map?' I asked as I see one appear on the top left of my vision.

'System, can you make a copy paste function for the mini-map?' I ask as I see a notification pop up.

[Mini-map added, copy paste function added to Mini-map.]

'Yes! Now my quest will be a breeze.' I thought before I continued deeper into the Labyrinth before I run into a few Skeletons. I smirk and make a sword before getting two strikes on one as it fades to gold dust.

The other two turn to me to retaliate but I send one away by making a make shift rasengan in my left hand. It is blown back to the wall as I swipe my magic sword through the final skeleton. I was about to continue but another system pop up interrupted me.

[For killing three skeletons, you've gained 300 Xp.

[Would you like to assign Auto-Loot? Y/N]

"Yes." I blurted out, who wants to pick up loot when it can be sent to a nigh infinite space to be stored for me. I wait for a notification for gaining loot before realizing that they had nothing on them.

Disappointed I continue my way before deciding to head to Daedalus Workshop, if there's gonna be something useful it'll be there. On my way there I slay a few more skeletons and a few stray Hellhounds, earning me an additional 600 Xp.

For what felt like an hour I finally arrive at his work shop, I see a set of Metal double doors with a large blue delta sign inscribed in it. I push it open as my eyes widen.

Inside wasn't some ancient workshop one would expect but instead looked like a artist's studio with many windows showing light in, adding to the industrial lights the roof has. I look around and see many sketches draw with perfection, with green jars lined up against a wall.

I look to the right and see a spiral staircase leading up to a second story loft. Hanging off the wall was many pairs of metal wings that reminded me of the stories of Icarus. I hear a grunt, I turn to see a middle aged man with gray hairs and a clipped beard.

I take notice that at the base of his neck was a purple partridge, my eyes widen as I remember the story. Athena had marked him as a murderer since he killed his nephew Perdix, by tricking him.

"What are you doing here? And how did you get in here."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mwahahahaha! You fell off my cliff hanger, looking for more just for me to stop and watch you fall in anger. Anyway, did you like it? Review! If not? Tell me whats up and we can go from there, Goodbye!
