5 CH.5 Passage Of Time

The next day after waking up my training started with Venessa showing me the basics first and then we slowly started working on my body.

Venessa said that the first thing to learning any martial arts is a healthy and able body, so she made me do light exercise and some stretching then proceeded to show me the basic forms of karate.

It was a pleasant experience, to say the least, and I fell into a new pattern of training making time go by fast. By then I knew another four years had gone by and now I was finally eight years old.

Right now I was looking into the mirror of my room and I have to say that god dint lie I am pretty handsome, my new body has dark trimmed hair that covers my eyes which are an abyss dark couple together with a body trained in martial arts I am a handsome kid, at least that's what Venessa says to me.

We do not leave the house to get anything except for groceries and other stuff which mostly Venessa goes alone, and I stay home and read.

For four years has gone I have noticed that the gel (gold dark liquid) has changed my body to superhuman levels, I can run faster, hit harder, and have, more stamina than a human being, I would say child, but my body has already surpassed that level.

On the other such as my shadow control, I've gotten fairly good with it and now I can keep up the invisibility at all times but as always it takes more energy when during the day so that's why I lower it so I'm less likely to be seen which works nicely on Venessa when I want to be alone, for shadow control I can now make weapons from my shadows which are sharper and sturdier then regular weapons, my favorite so far is the scythe and spears these two weapons seemed to come to me naturally, and lastly for teleportation I've gotten pretty good with it but it still takes a lot out of me the father I go and the only way it to make my reserves grow.

Venessa has been teaching me swordsmanship and karate for the past four years and thanks to me being a child and a superhuman body I pretty much mastered it, Venessa was very proud of me which brought a smile to my face, but it dints last for more than a second.

Other than that nothing much has happened but a question that I have wanted to ask Venessa for a long time I just kept forgetting to ask the question, and that question is who my father is.

You see I know for a fact that whatever is gdl is it comes from my bio dad and I'm sure because Venessa doesn't have any trace of it or else she would have caught me by now so that's why I'm going to ask her.

I walked into a prayer room where Venessa is praying to a tiny statue of the buddha and other figures from Chinese mythology that I didn't bother to learn about.

As soon I open the door Venessa turned to me.

"Adrian did you need something sweetheart," Venessa said with a smile.

"who's my father," I said to her, although the way I have said it might have seemed rude but because I do not talk that much I like to get to the point and that means being blunt.

"Ah, I hope you are older when I need to tell you this" Venessa said looking a mix of awkward and nervous.

"Come here and sit with me," Venessa said patting the floor by her.

After sitting down, she started talking "you're a smart child so I guess I can tell you this" Venessa said.

"You the thing about your father is that I don't remember him that much" Venessa said looking with a face of shame.

"Oh, I'm a one-night stand baby," I said bluntly.

"sigh yes sweetheart but you dint need to word it that way, you see sweetheart I was In loss Angeles eight years ago and I was having fun with a few people when I met this nice men, we got along fast and because of the drinking we spent the night together, I dint know I was pregnant until I got morning sickness and for the fact that I was medically infertile but it seems that the gods granted me a little miracle and I decided to have you sweetheart" Venessa said with a smile at the end.

"Is that so" I said looking at her.

"Sigh, I'm sorry sweetheart I don't think you will ever meet you father" she said looking sad.

"Its fine" I said standing up and started leaving.

"you're enough" I said as I left.

I'm pretty sure she was smiling but I dint look back I had a few things to think about, first I need to figure out what species my dad and I am and hopefully find about what the gdl is, the only way that I can think to do that I to create a way for me to sense a person with gdl in them, then I will need to go to loss Angeles and start searching for my father.

The reason I want to search for him is not for any feelings of need for a father figure that need has died long ago, no this is for me to figure out what exactly I am.

After thinking about that I went into my room to the darkest place in it and sat there. I need to make a way for me to sense those with gdl and to do that I need a sixth sense, the best way I have chosen is to replicate a bats sonar by sending out a signal by flaring my gdl sending out everywhere and then calling it back to receive the information that it picked up.

With that set I started practicing not knowing the dangers that I was bringing into my life.
