35 CH.34 Apostle

"Christine, I have heard you're pleas and I have come to answer them"

At this point, her monitor was beeping at a thousand miles per hour, but I had done what I needed to do. so as she was having a possible heart attack from my appearance, causing the doctors to rush in to figure out what was going on I disappear as soon as she lost sight of me.

The nurses came rushing in to see what was wrong only to see her pointing at my previous spot but of course, I was not there so they thought that she was losing her mind.

'Phase one is in effect' I thought as I watched her heart rate go back to a somewhat normal speed. This was my plan. of course, didn't want to expose myself right away as that would be too easy and give her too much time to decide the choice that I will give her.so I was going to be jump scaring her, and right when she was about to die and have no choice I would finally appear and give her a deal she couldn't refuse.

So, for the rest of the day, I slowly followed her, watching for a perfect moment when I could appear before her. And I found a few moments that I could do just that.

The first was when she was being moved around in a wheelchair by a nurse, they were going on a stroll outside. This might have been away the hospital used to help with patients' depression, of course, it wasn't helping her as she still had that empty look in her eyes.

I was currently on the roof of the hospital and there just happen to be so with doves around me. Wasting no time, I waved my hand causing the doves to fly away in a group. Of course, this noise caused people to look up, including Christine and by her shocked expression, I was sure she saw me.

The next time she saw me was a day later in the dead of night when she looked out the window to look at the dark sky and the silent empty parking lot next to the hospital, she saw me standing under the only working streetlight but before she could even register me, she blinked and I was gone.

This was what I did to her for the next week slowly getting closer and closer to her and at this point, she has mistaken me for death as she isn't even scared of m anymore. As the week Eed, I was once again in her room except for this time it was different, Christine was dying and she would not make it past midnight, it was 11:40 right now.

"Christine," I said in my dark and embodied voice appearing before her.

"death" Christine said which barely came out as a whisper with her new body.

Christine pov.

My name is Christine Gonzales, and my life was a great good job, and a healthy body everything was perfect that was until I was diagnosed with stage 2 borderline 3 breast cancer. And just like that, the life that I had made from the ground up was toppled.

It took nothing but a month until my body gave and started dying, I knew I had little time left in this world. This was even made more apparent with the appearance of the being that I can only say was death.

The first time it appeared all I felt was the cold feeling of death, and as a person dying, I knew what death felt like but this death was different it wasn't a slow death no this one was death itself, it was the E.

Each time that I saw him the feeling of death got bigger as I would remember his figure. The first thing you would notice about him was the darkness, it seemed to follow him everywhere, it surrounded him and swallowed all the light near him, the next was his voice, it sounded wrong as if my mind could comprehE it as if he was a being not of this world and the last was his presence whenever I would see him I would feel a shiver in the depths of my soul and feel my already weak body get cold as ice.

After a week of seeing this being, he finally appeared in front of me, and this time he didn't disappear. I knew the reason; I could feel it I was finally dying and he came to collect my soul.

"Christine" the being said with that voice getting my full attention.

"Death," I said in an almost whisper.

"Haha, the child I am not that weakling death" the being said after laughing.

"Then who are you" I asked

"I have as many names as there have been days and nights but you child can call me to e," E said as his shadow started developing the room.

"Well, Mr.E if you're, not death what exactly do you need from a corpse-like me," I asked E, my years of being a lawyer told me that this being wanted something from me.

"What I want is very simple, I need an apostle in this world to spread my name," E said.

"As much as I would love to agree I'm not in the best condition, as you can see," I said to E trying to not look at him as every time I looked at his figure I felt my very existence pulled in.

"Yes, I can see that which is why I will give you a choice, become my apostle, and promise to spread my name around the world, if you can do that I will heal your body and give you more power than you could imagine," E said.

"And If i disagree," I asked as it was never a good idea to make a deal without knowing all the options.

"Then when the clock hits midnight you die as you were meant to and I move on to someone else," E said pointing at the clock with his sharp and unhuman finger.

The clock was at 11:55 right now and with each click, I felt my body get weaker, I had a choice to make, and this choice would decide whether I die here or live for who knows how long.

"You know you sound like the devil," I said to E.

"The devil wishes he was me," E said making me chuckle dryly.

"Alright I've made a decision," I said looking at the clock hitting 11:59.

"I accept, I mean what do I have to lose anyway," I said raising my weak hand towards the E.

"Then be reborn my apostle," E said as he reached forward and grabbed my hand and as the clock hit midnight I passed out feeling something unknown enter me.
